A little Dissappointed... | Posted September-22-2007
I, along with millios of other people, absolutely love the song "I Can Only Imagine". That song was a really great song lyrically. Unfortunately, that built a lot of hype around this album, and I did not think the rest of it was all that great. It was like they poured all of their energy into that one song and sort of neglected the rest of the cd. The only other songs I found enjoyable were "I Worship You", and "How Great is Your Love".

WOW! What can I say about these guys? They are unlike anything I had ever heard, but for some reason, I really like them! I highly recommend "Luv Addict", "Earthquake", and "Supersonic". Those are my absolute faves! These guys are so fun and have so much energy that it just makes you want to get up and move! I am going to see them in concert soon, and I am so excited to see what kind of show they put on live-I have heard they are AWESOME in concert!
A True Worship Album! | Posted September-22-2007
Casting Crown's first cd was a big hit, as everyone well knows, for the song "If We are the Body", and for good reason! This song was quickly a favorite, and pastors/youth pastors loved it because the message of the song is so true-we need to be reaching out to others & constantly showing them God's love! The cd opens with "What if his people prayed". I personally love this song-straight from God's word! "Voice of Truth", co-written by Steven Curtis Chapman, was another hit with a lot of substance. "Who Am I" was one of my other favorites, because it is something I can really relate to. Sometimes I feel so small, but God still cares about me-how awesome is that?! I like that almost every song on this cd has such a great message, like "American Dream". I like "Life of Praise" because the girl takes the lead, and she has an amazing voice-this song is probably my second favorite song on the album! The only thing I disklike about this album is the last song, "Your Love is Extravagant" just because this song is kind of old and I had just heard it done too many times-I guess I just thought it was a sort of safe way to end the album...
Awesome! | Posted September-18-2007
Monday Morning is one of the greatest bands of all time. First of all, their lead singer is amazing! He has one of the greatest voices in Christian rock. My favorite song is "Wonder of it All(Next Year)". Something about this song really gets to me and makes me sing along-I love the line that says "I'm nothing without you". "Sunshine" is another favorite with an awesome beat to it. "Break Away" is awesome, and if you ever see them in concert, you will know why! These guys have so much talent, and they quickly became one of my favorite Christian artists. Every song is amazing! If you buy this album, you will not regret it!
Surprisingly Great! | Posted September-18-2007
I first heard Jessie's song "Everyday" on the NRT myspace page when she was the challenger for the week. I ended up going to her myspace page and listening to more of her songs. I was hooked and knew I had to buy the cd! I had never heard of her until then, but I knew that I had discovered a great new artist. I really loved "What I Hear" and "What Happened". Another good one was "It's No Wonder" that deals with broken relationships-I thought it was very well written and something pretty much everyone can relate to at one point in time or another. "Hold Me Now" was one I really related to and the song I like to listen to when I feel like God is the only person in the world who understands my pain-the acoustic track to this one is also very enjoyable. The only down side to this cd is the song "Human Being". I really just did not like the lyrics and the beat of the song in general. Other than that, Jessie has a pretty solid album! I look forward to hearing her next album!
