Unique Christian | Posted August-29-2007
I'll admit I'm a fan of certain "faith-based" emo artists like Dashboard Confessional, Death Cab for Cutie and The Fray, not the screamo hardcore punk artists. I own both Reset, the Mute Math ep and this full-length self-titled release which includes several of the tracks from the ep. Naturally the song "Typical" grabs me along with the video which is very unique, this year's Ok Go. I like the trend of what I'll call Christian "emo" from this past year. My favorite new releases from new artists this past year include Jackson Waters, Future of Forestry and this self-titled Mute Math album. The other standout tracks on this album are "Plan B" and "Noticed". Here is a link to the lyrics of "Noticed" mute math lyrics. If you substitute God for you this can be one of those songs that could cross seekers over to Jesus once you know that the band members are Christian.

Great Hillsong Release! | Posted August-27-2007
I own all of the Hillsong albums and other than "Ultimate" which is a greatest hits album, this is my favorite Hillsong release, top 10 of 2006 in my opinion. The standout songs are "From The Inside Out" and "Mighty to Save". This album has the best collection of vertical worship songs from the past year!

Another Great Matt Redman Release! | Posted August-27-2007
I've owned this release since it came out 12/26/06. 3 of the songs are in my top 25 most played songs: "You Never Let Go", "Shine" and "A Greater Song". Matt Redman is one of the best Christian songwriters ever in my opinion and this is his best release ever, very worshipful!

Great Release, Top 10 Best Live Christian! | Posted August-27-2007
If you can only pick up one Chris Tomlin release, you must get "Arriving". However, in my opinion his next best release is this live album.
The live versions of some of the songs like "Indescribable", "Unchanging", "Forever" and the medley of "How Great Is Our God" combined with "How Great Thou Art" make this one of the top 10 best live Christian albums!

Breakout Landmark Release! | Posted August-10-2007
Now that it's been almost 3 years since this came out and everyone knows at least 3 songs from this release, "Holy is the Lord", "How Great is Our God" and "Indescribable", there's no denying this is a landmark Christian album and Chris Tomlin's breakout release. Not that it is a bad thing, but I was actually a bigger Chris Tomlin "fan" before this and "We Fall Down", "Forever" and "Enough" from his earlier releases are now overshadowed by this CD, however his overall songwriting and singing are among the best in all of Christian music.

Best of Worship | Posted August-08-2007
There are so many great songs and versions of songs on this release, it ranks right up there as one of the best of worship releases of the 2000's. The original Newsboys songs are the highlights in my opinion, especially "It Is You", "Lord (I Don't Know)" and "He Reigns". This listens like a greatest hits and really allows the listener to praise God at the same time.

Excellent Live Recording | Posted August-08-2007
I don't always like the live versions of songs, but this recording is a strong exception. The songs "God Help Me", "Alive" and "You Are Loved" are great anyway, and I like them even more on this release. The DVD is also great and Rebecca puts on a great show.

Can't Deny the Formula Works! | Posted June-16-2008
I'm a bit predisposed to like the vocal style since I liked BarlowGirl's 1st two releases and I love Plumb and Evanescence. Something I like even better about this release are the powerful lyrics. Particularly, the songs "Here's My Life", "I Believe In Love", "Million Voices" and "Song for the Broken" really jumped out at me.

Great songs and singing | Posted June-16-2008
"Great 2nd release by Michael Olson. "On the Third Day" is a very good song with heartfelt lyrics and a catchy melody. I also really like "If You Can Stop The World", "God Is With Us", "Unchanged" and "Our First Love". Up and coming CCM singer-songwriter."

Great release, top 10 of 2007! | Posted June-16-2008
"Former "According to John" lead singer John Waller returns to the scene with an amazing release. "The Blessing" is a great anthem sung with Mark Hall of Casting Crowns. The other highlights are "Calling For A Flood" and "Still Calls Me Son". This year's Aaron Shust in my opinion."
