Four-time Juno nominees Newworldson (2008, 2009, 2011, 2013 Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album Of The Year) rocketed to international fame after the release of Salvation Station and an invitation to join the Newsboys on their wildly popular GO Tour in 2007-08. Further recognition followed with the success of their first hit single, "There Is A Way" -- peaking at number 2 on the Billboard Music chart for Christian Songs, reaching the number 1 spot at Christian radio in Canada, the UK, and Australia, and helping to garner three of 11 awards in total from the Gospel Music Association for the Niagara Falls-based group.
In 2012, Newworldson released their fourth album, Rebel Transmission, which cracked iTunes top ten for Christian/Gospel/Inspirational albums in the US and Canada, and scored another top-three single with "Learning To Be The Light", a song that remained on US Christian radio charts for nearly a year. Rebel Transmission received critical acclaim for "its willingness to take its music down musical avenues not commonly traveled by artists of faith" (crosswalk.com).
Front man Joel Parisien and drummer Mark Rogers are joined by veteran Canadian bassmaster John Irvine, Motown alumnus Leroy Emmanuel (Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson) and the world-famous Chops Horns (Alicia Keys, The Police), mining over a century of combined experience for their signature sound: inspirational lyrics, an eclectic blend of 60s soul, funk, roots, and Gospel, and a live show that can't be missed.

I was blessed beyond belief to get the opportunity to hear you all on K-Love this morning. I plan to purchase your album as soon as payday rolls around next week! Thanks for sharing your story on the radio, for your music, and being so down-to-earth!

Hearing this band for the first time was like a breath of fresh air, and it remains as the same thing today. Such a brilliant mix of sounds to spice up our stale industry.
