Derek Lee Bishop began serving in the church around 2004 when he felt the call to use his gifts for the glory of God instead of for his own success; since then his writing has become more important to him as he seeks a higher purpose for his music. His new album Missional War will be released later this year and all proceeds will go to mission organizations that are spreading the love of Christ all over the world.
