It is rare today to find an artist who can maturely write intriguing songs that are set apart from much of the same sound we currently hear in pop music and deliver them powerfully as well. Heidi Holt is one of those exceptions. She has been blessed with the ability to artistically reveal the images and thoughts of her heart and give you goose bumps in the process. Her voice has captivated audiences in the thousands and her ministry is affecting even more.
Heidis journey as an artist began in 2004 with the recording of her first album. She had been songwriting for a number of years, and one of those songs, Welcome Home, caught the attention of Producer John Ross in Oregon. The song drove him to turn the single into an album and as Heidi returned to the state of Minnesota, where she grew up, she began to organize a band to help deliver her passion.
She rose to the top in the final rounds of the nationally acclaimed tournament at Club 3 degrees in Minneapolis and would later stand out at Sonshine and Higher Ground Festival the following summer. It is no surprise that since then she has shared the stage with Ginny Owens, Sara Groves, Mercy Me, Tree 63, Barlow Girl, Rebecca St. James, Kutless, Leeland, Michael W. Smith and more.
Word spread of her gift to also lead worship at many large churches and colleges in the Twin Cities and many other congregations across the United States would invite her to their community to lead them in worship. Many national conferences also requested her presence and gift of songwriting to be shared in the Twin Cities.
Heidi is currently signed to Speed of Sound Records and will release her second full-length album, which holds a collection of strong melodies laced with lyrics that will grip your heart. She is also traveling across the United States this summer to reach more ears and rescue more hearts. The future can only be brighter for Heidi and her heart which desires to serve the Lord.
