inPASSING’s roots began with the Central Florida indie scene in 2002. Following the release of an EP and a full-length album produced by Matt Goldman, inPASSING toured 250 U.S. dates with friends UNDEROATH, CARTEL, COPELAND, and ANBERLIN and sold over 3,500 albums in 2005. Returning home to Orlando, FL in 2006, Brooks and Troy completed their college degrees and began writing more powerful material with new front man Robby Clay.
Two years of preproduction and rocking several shows later, inPASSING collaborated with James Paul Wisner (DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL, UNDEROATH, THE ACADEMY IS) in the spring of 2008 creating a powerful five song EP. “Breathing in the Ash” is the result of the passion of Troy Lano, the drive of Brooks Potteiger, the heart of Robby Clay and the love of family, friends and fans. The cohesive and heartfelt mix of pop songs are poised to stand the test of time and remembered along with those summers of love and loss. inPASSING’s “Breathing in the Ash,” along with a debut music video for "All Together were released summer 08 and will be followed by a Fall 2008 tour with long time friend and seasoned performer, Sterling Plemmons, joining member on bass.
