TOP TEN TWEETS
#1 - Faking It
@jasongraymusic: Okay, tell the truth: how many of you out there have ever taken a fake phone call in order to avoid a social situation? (October 8)
Jason Gray called for an honest show of hands from those of us who have ever used (or abused) technology to avoid awkward social moments. This writer is definitely guilty.
#2 - Reborn
The hype over the rebirth of Audio Adrenaline (featuring Kevin Max on lead vocals) continues with the release of their first single and music video, "Kings and Queens." The video was filmed in partnership with the Hands and Feet Project in Haiti.
#3 - Spanning Mediums
@michaelgungor: My first book, "The Crowd, the Critic, and the Muse: A Book For Creators" releases today along with our live album on ITunes, Amazon..etc (October 9)
Michael Gungor, the mastermind behind the worship collective that bears his surname, released a book containing some of his thoughts on creating. The book is available in digital form from most major retailers, and in physical form, either on the road or online
here.
#4 - Dirty Dirty South
@jrmeadkutless: There must be a Mullet Convention at the Atlanta airport or something. (October 9)
This observation provided by James Mead of Kutless doesn’t fully take into account the fact that in certain areas of the deep South, every day is a mullet convention.
#5 - Travel Accessories
@karijobe: I just found a toothbrush in my purse.. #RandomWednesday (October 10)
The touring life sometimes requires having a toothbrush on hand at all times... you never know the next time you’ll be able to use it. Kari Jobe seems to have achieved touring lifestyle gold status.
#6 - Backtracking
@jamiegraceh: "i haven't really been home in months... i'm not a runaway! i sing songs... um...?" #stuffisaytostrangers #hushjamiehush! #fb (October 10)
Despite what it might seem like, touring and running away from home are two very different things. Even if that might be challenging to explain in casual conversation.
#7 - Taste of the Road
@superchicktrish: Also I really enjoy gas station French vanilla cappuccinos. :-) and starbucks. I'm not picky I guess. (October 11)
In case you ever need advice on good coffee on the road, artists tend to be good people to ask-- they definitely have the experience to back up their suggestions.
#8 - FYI
@mikescheuchzer: ATTENTION GROWN MEN: It is not acceptable to wear your pajamas on an hour and a half flight. (October 11)
MercyMe’s guitarist took it on himself to provide this public service announcement. Just in case you were wondering.
#9 - Enterprising Efforts
@IJBeachy: Some company needs to name themselves Loading. Think about all the free advertising for Netflix users with slow internet (October 13)
Israel Beachy of Disciple has a brilliant idea for an up and coming company-- or maybe a band name? Any publicity is good publicity, right?
#10 - Alternate Access
@JimmyNeedham: A deep V-neck is as good as an artist pass to u get backstage at a Christian festival. FYI. (October 13)
In case any artist loses their pass in the future... Jimmy Needham has advice to get you through.
