This was a busy week in the Christian music Twitterverse, full of anticipation of upcoming events, albums, and tours, plus some adventures on the road (such as climbing rock walls and--just to keep things interesting--a theater marquee). The excited buzz following the announcement of Audio Adrenaline reborn continued this week as the band played their first set together (a private showcase). In case fans are curious as to what the new incarnation will sound like, new frontman Kevin Max assured us that it will sound... like a band.

#4 - Lion’s Share

The Royal Royal is drawing on beloved childhood classic The Lion King to market the pre-orders for their upcoming album. 

#5 - The Boatshow

MercyMe has taken their hosting of their yearly Rock and Worship Roadshow one step farther. If you’ve ever wanted to go on a cruise and attend awesome concerts at the same time... this is the perfect opportunity.

#6 - Weaponry

Airport security apprehended the dangerous electropop artist Lights Poxleitner this week. Traveling with your gear as a scifi fan can come at a price.

#7 - Automatic Hits
@calebgrimm: If you put the word "tonight" at the end of a chorus, it automatically becomes a great song. (September 29)

Caleb of Anthem Lights seems to have discovered the formula for generating hits. Go ahead and try this. You know you want to.

Casting Crowns’s frontman seems to have done a good job training his children to think for themselves--much to his chagrin.

#9 - Compliments
@jonsteingard: An at-least 80yr old woman walks by me on the street. “Love your tattoos, dude!” Did she just call me dude? Still had to call her ma’am. (September 29)

It is fortunate for rock stars, although disconcerting, that tattoo acceptance has reached a level where they can be appreciated by a wide variety of people. Hawk Nelson’s lead singer responded in kind by minding his manners.

Although fall is now well underway in some parts of the country, residents elsewhere just wish it was. Maybe if Andrew Peterson turned his air conditioning up high enough it would work?

Christian artist Natalie Grant was invited to attend a symposium on modern-day slavery, hosted by the President of the United States. This provided an important opportunity for her voice on the matter to be heard.
