TOP TEN TWEETS
#1 - Number One
@therealtobymac: EYE ON IT #1 on @billboard top 200! Wow, thank u guys so much. Honored & grateful!! To God b the glory...Steal my Show. http://toby.cta.gs/043 (September 5)
The monumental news this week was TobyMac's album Eye On It sitting in a record-setting No. 1 position on the Billboard charts (the first time a Christian artist has achieved this honor since 1997). TobyMac made sure to turn it back around and place the honor where it's due: on the real Showstopper.
#2 - Widespread Truth
@jasongraymusic: I booked it from the tram to be first in line at car rental counter, but then took wrong escalator #thefirstwillbelast #justjesusjukedmyself (September 6)
Sometimes there is a kind of justice found even airport travel. Jason Gray experienced this uncomfortable truth at the hands of an escalator this week (and if you're unfamiliar with the term "Jesus juke,"
go here.
#3 - Revenge of the Nerds
@jonsteingard: Google offices are definitely high school social structures turned upside down. Nerds reign supreme. (September 6)
Hawk Nelson frontman Jon Steingard visited the Google headquarters in NYC this week. He reassured the world that there really is a place where nerds are not only accepted-- they are necessary.
#4 - No Secret Identity
@SonnyWhosoever: Today my son said I was his first Super Hero. Coolest thing ever! There's nothing like being a Daddy! Don't waste it fellas. (September 7)
Sonny Sandoval may be a rockstar, but he knows which job actually makes him a superhero.
#5 - New Toddler Translation
@nicholenordeman: Pepper just opened Bible to "read" me a story. "Once upon a time in the Garden of Enid, Jesus stopped by. That Jesus is such a character." (September 7)
Nichole Nordeman's young daughter provides her interpretation of Genesis. Revolutionary!
#6 - Real Bloom
@mattmacdonaldis: Like flower pedals to the sun, open. Self worship leads to disappointment. Nothing on earth can feed itself. (September 8)
The Classic Crime lead singer Matt MacDonald shared this thought on the nature of thriving. (in summary: it's not about us.)
#7 - Doppelganger
@macpowell: No! That was NOT me tearing up at the Finding Nemo Musical at Animal Kingdom. It was a Mac impersonator. (September 8)
Several Christian artists headed to Disney World in Florida for the theme park's annual event, Night of Joy (complemented by neighboring Universal Studios' Rock the Universe). It provided Third Day's lead singer with an opportunity to connect to his softer side. Or his impersonator.
#8 - Priorities
@TFKTrevor: Got to Disney last night, 3:45am mic check, zzz, now ready to rawk it here tonight!! Must see the Haunted Mansion first! #nightofjoy2012 (September 8)
Thousand Foot Krutch definitely earned their slot playing at the happiest place on earth-- sound checks before 4 a.m. are anything but happy.
#9 - Lyrical Truth
@jonnydiaz: Really...EVERYBODY was Kung foo fighting?!? EVERYBODY? I'm having trouble buying that. (September 8)
Jonny Diaz is a skeptic. Maybe some things you really do need to see to believe (really, who wouldn't want to see everybody kung fu fighting?).
#10 - A Happy Birthday
@matthammitt: Today is Bowen's second birthday…not a day goes by that I don't feel grateful that he's still with us. Happy birthday little buddy! (September 9)
Matt Hammit (lead singer of Sanctus Real) has a lot to be thankful for in the life of his third chil. To retread the story of Bowen's miracle life, visit

TOP TEN PICTURES: HAPPY PLACES
Maybe Rapture Ruckus has found the new look for hiphop artists worldwide... or maybe not.
#2 - Rated Arrr
@kj52: Soli of @familyforce5 has hair like a pirate.. I secretly envy his follicle abilities.. http://instagr.am/p/PQYkUqJZ8d/ (September 6)
KJ-52 spent some time hanging out with Family Force 5, which unfortunately resulted in some follicle envy. Apparently Family Force 5 lead singer Soul Glow's talents aren't limited to singing, screaming, dancing, and holding a microphone while wearing abnormally large hulk gloves.
#3 - Most Famous Pluto
@jrmeadkutless: Me & Pluto. Not the former planet. (see disambiguation) Wikipedia article; http://J2164377.edu .aspx *just kidding pic.twitter.com/oVlko0Rt (September 7)
James Mead of Kutless enjoyed his time at Disney World as well, taking the opportunity to meet some celebrities.
#4 - Flower Power
@TimForeman: Fresh ink. My daughter gave me a sparkly tattoo. Forgot about it and wore it proudly all day. http://instagr.am/p/PSZ0LFwtzF/ (September 7)
Switchfoot's bass player knows how to keep up his hardcore cred. It takes confidence to wear a sparkly flower tattoo for a day, but Tim Foreman pulled it off with style.
As a musician, location isn't everything... but sometimes it certainly helps.
Sometimes the skies God paints effectively upstage the musicians below. This view For King & Country captured may be a good example.
If this is just an ordinary day for Tenth Avenue North, we have to ask what an extraordinary day would look like. Fellow artist Lecrae commented, "You guys tour in those I'll open for you nightly just to watch."
There seems to be an epidemic of Spongebob costumes afflicting Christian musicians... Relient K's bass player is the latest victim.
Worship artist Carlos Whittaker discovered this gem while weekend garage saling. In case you've been inspired to pick up your own copy,

Francesca Battistelli celebrated the RIAA Gold Certification of her album My Paper Heart, and she shared a shot of the shiny plaque commemorating the milestone.
