As the summer heats up and festival season approaches, a lot of artists are taking the time off the touring circuit to write and record-- keeping Twitter followers throughout the process, of course. Catch up on the latest tweets from on and off stage below.

COUNTDOWNS
@plumb_artist: My new record 'Faster The Bullet' set to release September 4!!!!! (May 30)
Plumb’s long-awaited album now has not only a title, but finally a project release date. Be watching for Plumb’s return come September.
@owlcity: BTW, here's the new album art. The Midsummer Station is available everywhere August 14 and in the UK September 17. http://pic.twitter.com/yA6fJ1wW (May 31)
Popular and prolific songwriter Adam Young is at it again. Hot on the tail of the recent Shooting Star EP comes the full announcement for the upcoming Midsummer station album.
In addition to celebrating their first number No. 1 single this week with hit song "He Said," Group 1 Crew filmed a music video for the song along with friend and fellow vocalist Chris August.
Relient K is also hard at work in the studio, producing their first original material in a few years. Follow @relientk on Instagram for more photographs of the studio process.
JOB SKILLS
@JFrankenstein: In all humility, I probably rank in the world top 10 for bag packing efficiency. 11 days in Europe in one carry-on? No sweat. (May 31)
If efficient packing were an Olympic sport, touring musicians would win every time. Jeff Frankenstein of Newsboys seems to have perfected the art. Newsboys were one of several bands headed overseas this week, in part for the Big Church Day Out in the U.K.
@adamagee: It's still weird for me to have a Saturday off at home. When we were touring hard, we once went 11 straight months w/o a Saturday off. (June 2)
There are a lot of perks that come with being a touring musician. Weekends off are certainly not included in the package. Fortunately, Stellar Kart has been taking it easy lately, giving lead singer Adam Agee some well deserved weekend breaks.
@lecrae: Just heard somebody bumpin that #churchclothes mixtape in the grocery store parking lot. Dope....but kinda weird. (June 3)
Hearing your music in random public places may be a pretty good way to tell that you’ve "made it."
BEYOND THE STAGE
@jonnydiaz: I'm always ahead of the trends. For instance... I was talking to walls long before Facebook existed. (May 31)
Jonny Diaz apparently has perfected the essential hipster skill of doing things before they’re cool... so far before they’re cool that they would in fact be uncool.
Even rockers have hearts. Project 86 lead singer picked up a tiny hitchhiker on the road this week.
The bonds formed in bands often go beyond the stage. There was a wedding in the Anthem Lights camp this week, and the band was there.
Sanctus Real’s bus burned down this week, and although all of the band members and their families are safe, most of their personal items were lost in the fire. Check their Twitter page for updates and go here to help as they try to reconstruct what was lost: http://store.sanctusreal.com/store/bus-relief-donations-49
@jonsteingard: You know you’ve moved to an epic part of town when your neighbor’s house has a MOAT. (June 4)
Guitarist/new frontman for Hawk Nelson moved to a different part of Nashville this week. He seems to have found some rather unique neighbors. Maybe moats are coming back?
