It was a very busy week in the always-busy Christian music Twitterverse with several artists celebrating Leap Day (Feb. 29, the extra day added to the month every four years) with releasing new videos, other artists spending time in the studio, and several strong new releases. New Australian group For King and Country (currently seen out on Winter Jam) released their debut album, Crave, this week. If you’ve heard it, spread the word, and if not, follow the link and check it out.

Kutless released their latest album, Believer, this week. They celebrated the release by holding a release show in the Mall Of America, bringing in quite a wide audience.

Leap Day invited reflection on various anniversaries that only happen once every four years. For Children 18:3, they had a rare chance to celebrate the release of their debut.

Manic Drive celebrated the Leap Day by releasing a new music video for this single “Save a Life.” You can check out the exceptional video here.

This week Switchfoot also released a new video on Leap Day. Here they put their own creative spin on the popular genre of YouTube lyric videos in support of their latest single “Afterlife.”

This week Family Force 5 filmed a music video for their song “Wobble.” According to various updates from the band, the shoot involved elevators, food fights, and being evacuated due to tornado warnings. You’ll definitely want to be watching for this video.

Jars of Clay is back in the process of writing music again. Lead singer Dan Haseltine is tweeting about it (and apparently coining some interesting new terms in his hashtags).

Now that it’s been a year and a half since the 2010 release of Dark is the Way, Light is a Place, Anberlin is back in the studio to record their upcoming album. Stay tuned for more updates both on lead singer Stephen Christian’s Twitter and the band account (@anberlin).

This week Switchfoot had to cut their trip to Australia short due to a medical emergency with lead singer Jon Foreman’s very young daughter. The Foreman family and the band would appreciate prayers.
