This week, thanks to dedicated fans voting, Newsboys got their video for the song “Miracles” on MTV’s rotation. This is quite an achievement for a contemporary Christian band, and drummer Duncan Phillips was celebrating.

Jamie Grace gave WinterJam attendees a surprise performance this week. WinterJam artists Dara Maclean, Kari Jobe, and Blanca of Group 1 Crew joined Jamie and Nirva Ready (of TobyMac’s Diverse City band) for what might be one of the most stunning covers of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” currently on YouTube. The collaboration of some of Christian music’s strongest female vocalists is well worth checking out.

The wide-spread Internet protest of SOPA/PIPA this week prompted several artists to share their thoughts on music and piracy as a whole. In this two-for-one tweet, Mark Hall of Casting Crowns shares something thought-provoking, and Adam Agee of Stellar Kart provides a lighter spin on it.
