IN REVIEW

@project86band: BIG NEWS; We have just launched Kickstarted for our 8th Studio album. We have 30 days to raise 15k. Visit our Kickstarter page: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1739683846/the-p-eight-6-project
(December 12)

Project 86 is yet another band to join the ranks of artists turning to fan-funded momentum to keep making music. The solid rockers were entirely funded within the first few days, but are still welcoming support.

@WitnessTheRise: @marktheshark making things happen @ EMI Christian Music Group http://instagr.am/p/ZG93_/ (December 14)

David Crowder*Band has been anticipating and working towards the release of their final album, now available for pre-order on iTunes. Click here to check it out.

@matkearney: This is pretty amazing! Google used one of my songs For it's Zeitgeist 2011: Year in Review http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAIEamakLoY (December 15)

Google released their creative year-end highlights video, featuring the Mat Kearney’s song “Sooner or Later” from his 2011 release Young Love.

PROFESSIONALS

@swpbenjamin: Any day that you can run around on an airport baggage carousel and not get arrested is a quality day in my book. #fb http://twitpic.com/7t186k
(December 11)

Warning: do not try this at home. The Sidewalk Prophets guys are airport professionals.

@colinhoh: Day 1 of recording the new House Of Heroes record. @Smoakstack http://instagr.am/p/YxkCD/ (December 12)

House of Heroes is back in the studio for the first time in a few years, creating some new jams from an impressive guitar arsenal.

@Manafest: ok so i was skating on stage with a tea and wiped out and it went EVERYWHERE... would have been such a great video.. (December 14)

Sometimes even experienced skateboarders have some trouble... or maybe some things just weren’t meant to be multitasked.

@JFrankenstein: Tonight, Alan from Anthem Lights asked me how many shows I've done in my career. We did some quick math and came up with almost 3,000. (December 15)

This statistic may set the Newsboys as one of the hardest working bands ever. It also proves that Jeff Frankenstein has math skills as well as keyboard ability.

@mandisaofficial: U know a tour is winding down when dinner consists of throwing fried corn balls across the room. (December 16)

This may be the true definition of tour bonding, as displayed on the waning Heart of Christmas Tour.

EXPANDING HORIZONS

@thejasondunn: Just received my first violin lesson, courtesy of Travis Terrell. My apologies to everyone in a 50 mile radius!
(December 14)

Jason Dunn of Hawk Nelson seems to be expanding his musical horizons. He displayed a lot of foresight in apologizing to his neighbors from the start.

@robbyshaffer: Found out today that skinny jeans are not conducive to house work. (December 14)

MercyMe’s drummer discovered this week that not all trends are helpful in the area of everyday practicality.

@robbieseay: Lady at Goodwill said "You're the 10th person today asking about old tacky Christmas sweaters." Note to self #SmallBusinessIdea (December 15)

The holidays can have some unexpected results. Will we be seeing Robbie Seay Band branching out into some previously uncharted territory soon?

HUMILITY

@TripLee116: Contrary to popular belief, making an album IS fun, but it's also EXTREMELY hard work. But God has been EXTREMELY gracious thru the process
(December 15)

Trip Lee demonstrated why it can be so important to offer prayer for artists while they are working on records in the studio.

@calebgrimm: "Humility doesn't mean you think less of yourself... It means you think of yourself less." (December 16)

Anthem Lights and all of the other artists out on the Story Tour have been enjoying some strong backstage devotionals, and Caleb Grimm of Anthem Lights shared a glimpse into some of what they have been learning.

Mary Burklin is a college student who loves Jesus and seeks to echo His love in everything she does. She loves art in just about all forms, but music is her passion and where she feels most at home.
