FEEDBACK AND STATIC

@derekwebb: supposedly, physical copies of 'FEEDBACK' are also available today in retail stores. if anyone can find one, let me know. (April 5)

Derek Webb's worship project, Feedback, was released on a wide scale this week. It is available for purchase online, but apparently he cannot confirm or deny whether or not it is in stores.

FM Static—the side project of Thousand Foot Krutch members Trevor McNevan and Steve Augustine--released its latest pop album Tuesday, April 5, called My Brain Says Stop But My Heart Says Go. The trailer conveys a good idea of the basic feel of this upbeat album.

@stellarkartband: DISNEY EP UPDATE: Tentative release day... June 7, 2011. Not 100% official yet, but we'll keep you posted! (April 6)

Stellar Kart will be releasing an unusual EP this summer, featuring covers of classic Disney songs. They have now set the tentative release date. We're hoping they take a crack at “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid, however awkward that may be.

STARTS AND STOPS

Remedy Drive, formerly a band of four brothers, made the startling announcement that their line-up has had significant changes. David Zach is staying on as lead singer, but the three other Zach brothers have gone off the road to spend time with family. The new members are Timmy Jones (@timmyrjones), Dave Mohr (@Davemohr87), and Corey Horn (@CoreyHorn). This will definitely change their live shows quite a bit. They have already released a new track, available for free download on their website, which also showcases the musical direction the band is taking.

@demonhunterband: We only have TWO shows planned for this year: ICHTHUS FEST & SONSHINE FEST. DO NOT miss them!! (April 7)

Hard rockers Demon Hunter have been on a break from touring as of late. They will, however, be playing two of the summer festivals: Ichthus (June 15-18 in Wilmore, Kentucky) and Sonshine (July 13-16 in Willmar, Minnesota). If you're a Demon Hunter fan who wants to catch them live this year, it might be worth it to make a road trip.

Van trouble unfortunately is a given in the lives of bands. However, at least in the case of eleventyseven, a twist of irony made the experience a bit more amusing. Perhaps the “providence” is yet to come?

DAYS IN THE LIFE

On Monday, April 4, a few tornadoes passed through the Nashville area. Fortunately, damage was minimal, and despite a few traumatic hours, nobody was in any real danger.

Tuesday was the annual One Day Without Shoes in support of TOMS shoes. Thousands of people went barefoot all day to relate to and raise awareness about the kids in other countries who never have shoes—a condition that causes a wide range of injuries and diseases. Many different musicians participated, including Hyland's Steve Weigel, who showed off his bare feet in solidarity.

The Barlow sisters aren't just great at collaborating, musically. Apparently have a hidden talent for designing incredible kids' birthday cakes. They designed this cake for their niece, complete with architectural confections. (See the article photo above.)

That's one phone call that would be entertaining to listen in on. Here's hoping a recording surfaces.

Yellow is probably the least favorite color of David Crowder Band guitarist Mark Waldrop. Mustard stains indeed are a formidable foe.

There are some things that happen in the South that would be difficult to find anywhere else. This hoedown with the Tenth Avenue North front man is one of them.
