FEEDBACK AND STATIC
@derekwebb: supposedly, physical copies of 'FEEDBACK' are also available today in retail stores. if anyone can find one, let me know. (April 5)
Derek Webb's worship project,
Feedback, was released on a wide scale this week. It is available for purchase online, but apparently he cannot confirm or deny whether or not it is in stores.
@SteveAugustine: Check out the trailer for the new Static record! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RapcJiLMjs (April 5)
FM Static—the side project of Thousand Foot Krutch members Trevor McNevan and Steve Augustine--released its latest pop album Tuesday, April 5, called
My Brain Says Stop But My Heart Says Go. The trailer conveys a good idea of the basic feel of this upbeat album.
@stellarkartband: DISNEY EP UPDATE: Tentative release day... June 7, 2011. Not 100% official yet, but we'll keep you posted! (April 6)
Stellar Kart will be releasing an unusual EP this summer, featuring covers of classic Disney songs. They have now set the tentative release date. We're hoping they take a crack at “Part of Your World” from
The Little Mermaid, however awkward that may be.
@toothandnail: $5 albums on @amazonmp3 this month from @underoathband @anberlin @maeband @iamempire @sentbyravens @officialtfk & more http://amzn.to/i2uWSI (April 6)

STARTS AND STOPS
@RemedyDrive: just in case you missed the email:http://www.remedydrive.com/changes-new-songs-and-new-shows/http://fb.me/UZsprlos (April 6)
Remedy Drive, formerly a band of four brothers, made the startling announcement that their line-up has had significant changes. David Zach is staying on as lead singer, but the three other Zach brothers have gone off the road to spend time with family. The new members are Timmy Jones (@timmyrjones), Dave Mohr (@Davemohr87), and Corey Horn (@CoreyHorn). This will definitely change their live shows quite a bit. They have already released a new track, available for free download on their website, which also showcases the musical direction the band is taking.
@demonhunterband: We only have TWO shows planned for this year: ICHTHUS FEST & SONSHINE FEST. DO NOT miss them!! (April 7)
Hard rockers Demon Hunter have been on a break from touring as of late. They will, however, be playing two of the summer festivals: Ichthus (June 15-18 in Wilmore, Kentucky) and Sonshine (July 13-16 in Willmar, Minnesota). If you're a Demon Hunter fan who wants to catch them live this year, it might be worth it to make a road trip.
@eleventymatt: so our van broke down on providence boulevard. talk about irony. (April 8)
Van trouble unfortunately is a given in the lives of bands. However, at least in the case of eleventyseven, a twist of irony made the experience a bit more amusing. Perhaps the “providence” is yet to come?
DAYS IN THE LIFE
@plumb_artist: I was trapped in the path of the tornado today. I have never been more terrified in my life. #superstokedtobealive (April 4)
On Monday, April 4, a few tornadoes passed through the Nashville area. Fortunately, damage was minimal, and despite a few traumatic hours, nobody was in any real danger.
@SteveAtHyland: http://plixi.com/p/89803188 TOMS One day without shoes. Who's doin it?? (April 5)
Tuesday was the annual One Day Without Shoes in support of TOMS shoes. Thousands of people went barefoot all day to relate to and raise awareness about the kids in other countries who never have shoes—a condition that causes a wide range of injuries and diseases. Many different musicians participated, including Hyland's Steve Weigel, who showed off his bare feet in solidarity.
@laurenabarlow: If this doesn't win @alyssabarlow, @rebeccabarlow and I the Aunts of the Year award, I don't know what will... http://plixi.com/p/90066300 (April 6)
The Barlow sisters aren't just great at collaborating, musically. Apparently have a hidden talent for designing incredible kids' birthday cakes. They designed this cake for their niece, complete with architectural confections. (See the article photo above.)
@ManicDrive: Michael free styled for Trevor McNevan of TFK and Manafest over the phone today. I wonder if they'll call back. (April 5)
That's one phone call that would be entertaining to listen in on. Here's hoping a recording surfaces.
@marktheshark: If my life was made into a movie, the antagonist would be mustard stains. (April 7)
Yellow is probably the least favorite color of David Crowder Band guitarist Mark Waldrop. Mustard stains indeed are a formidable foe.
@mikedonehey: My daughter and my 84 year old neighbor Joann just had a hoedown on my porch. #ilovewhereilive (April 9)
There are some things that happen in the South that would be difficult to find anywhere else. This hoedown with the Tenth Avenue North front man is one of them.
MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU
@stephenanberlin: I walk on the bus and I'm already stumped by our day sheet. Help!yfrog.com/h44wfgkj (April 8)
I'm not sure what's more baffling: the out-of-order schedule listing or the inclusion of a Star Wars quote.
@6stringhero: Good part about having your hand chopped off by a lightsaber: no bleeding. But then your hand was just chopped off by a lightsaber (April 9)
Casting Crowns guitarist Juan DeVevo shared this philosophic statement on Star Wars on Twitter.
@ivegot2leftfeet: wait, why is Lando wearing Hans' clothes? Too soon, bro. #EmpireStrikesBack (April 9)
Either Lando was an incredibly callous character, or else the budget of the original Star Wars movies did not allocate enough for costuming. Either way, Disciple bassist Israel Beachy pointed out the suspicious similarity between the two characters' costumes.
