MANY NEW RELEASES, TOURING, FUNDING

Dan Haseltine of Jars of Clay and Mike Donehey of Tenth Avenue North are both giving up all beverages except for tap water for the seven weeks before Easter, donating the money they would have spent on other drinks to blood water mission (
http://www.bloodwatermission.com). They have invited fans to join them.

Hyland had their trailer stolen from a church parking lot, which meant losing all of their instruments, gear, and merch. They have asked fans to help out through donations if possible, as they will be heading out on tour with Fireflight during the upcoming week.

Aaron Gillespie (The Almost, formerly from Underoath) released his solo worship project,
Anthem Song, and has been supporting it with a string of shows at churches and schools.

Casting Crowns filmed a music video this week for their song "Courageous," which will be featured on the soundtrack of a movie by that same name. They worked with the Erwin Brothers, who have worked in the past with Christian bands such as Switchfoot and Skillet.

Tenth Avenue North and Third Day have recently started a tour, and will be visiting arenas around the country. The tour is apparently going well. Check either Third Day or Tenth Avenue North's websites for dates.

Family Force 5 has recently announced a new project,
Junk in the Trunk, which will lead up to the release of their third album. This project will give fans opportunities to buy old, unreleased tracks and other exclusive content.

This is definitely an interesting commentary on the way information is now spread. Twitter is more effective than calendars.
