The days are longer, the weather is warmer, and spring's new releases have arrived. From worship and gospel to metal and even an Easter album, the spring 2026 releases offer something for every Christian music fan.
NEEDTOBREATHE – The Long Surrender (March 27)
Popular Christian band NEEDTOBREATHE is back with their tenth studio album. When the band announced the upcoming album several months ago, they noted that they hadn’t originally set out to make one, but after writing several songs, the album just came together. From the first song to the last, this is a solid album with inspiring lyrics, incredible vocals, and music.
Tommee Profitt – The Resurrection of a King (March 27)
Similar to music producer and songwriter Tommee Profitt’s 2020 album, The Birth of a King, The Resurrection of a King reimagines classic songs by collaborating with various artists to create fresh versions of decades-old tracks. Featuring tunes many of us grew up singing from church hymnals at Easter, The Resurrection of a King brings together artists such as Phil Wickham, Jamie MacDonald, CeCe Winans, and others for the ultimate Easter album.
Jonathan McReynolds - Closer (March 27)
Gospel fans, this one is for you. Gospel artist Jonathan McReynolds is back with his first album since 2023. Closer features several artist collabs, including Tasha Cobbs-Leonard and Jamal Roberts from the 2025 season of American Idol. The album was recorded live, giving it an authentic in-the-moment worship feel.
Meredith Andrews – Live From Liberty University (April 3)
Christian artist Meredith Andrews returns to her alma mater for a collaborative album with Liberty University Worship Collective, Liberty’s worship team. Andrews was part of Liberty’s inaugural Campus Praise Band, which later became the Liberty Worship Collective. From solo songs to her time in Vertical Worship, Andrews’ music and voice are well known in worship music. As a Liberty University alum, I’m definitely looking forward to this album.
Michael Sweet – The Master Plan (April 3)
If you’re a fan of ‘80s metal, this one is for you. The lead singer of the Christian metal band Stryper, Michael Sweet, is releasing his first solo album in seven years. Sweet noted in an Instagram post that this album is the “most diverse, eclectic album” he’s ever done. The title track, along with “Lord” and “Again,” is now available.
Hulvey – COULD BE TONIGHT (April 27)
When Christian hip-hop artist Hulvey announced a new album a few months ago, he also let fans know it would be his last with Reach Records as he seeks God's guidance on his next move. His new album, COULD BE TONIGHT, features several previously released songs, such as “ROOFTOP,” featuring fellow CHH artist nobigdyl. and “AUTOMATIC,” featuring Connor Price. Between his collabs with other Christian hip-hop artists and his solo catchy, high-energy songs, Hulvey has become a household name in Christian music and was even part of this year’s Winter Jam tour. If you’re a fan of Christian hip-hop, this is definitely an album you’ll want to check out.
Anna Golden – Just Us (April 17)
Christian artist Anna Golden called Just Us her favorite collection of songs she has ever been part of on her social media. With songs already released, such as “I Still Choose You,” “AFRAID!,” and “Fountain,” this is expected to be a heartfelt, devotional-style album that emphasizes God’s character.
LOVKN – In Process (April 17)
I’m a relatively new fan of pop artist LOKVN, having first discovered his music when I listened to the song “Ebb & Flow” a few months ago, thanks to NRT’s New Christian Music this Week Spotify playlist. I was instantly attracted to the song’s indie/folk vibe and knew I needed to hear more. This song, along with several other previously released tracks, such as “Flying Kites” and “Bad Distraction,” is on the album. If you’re on the West Coast, LOKVN will start his West Coast Album Release Tour on April 18.
Amy Grant – The Me That Remains (May 8)
With a career dating back to the ‘80s and ‘90s, iconic contemporary artist Amy Grant has been well known in Christian music for decades. The Me That Remains marks her first album since heart surgery and a biking accident a few years ago. In the title track, she reflects on those trials. “The Me That Remains,” “The 6th of January (Yasgur’s Farm)” and “How Do We Get There From Here” are three songs now available from the 10-track album.
Brooke Ligertwood – EAT (May 15)
Following her 2024 album, INFINITY,EAT is anticipated to be a worship-style album, consistent with Brooke Ligertwood's usual approach as a worship artist. It includes collaborations with Christian artist Abbie Gamboa on the single “Even Death On A Cross!” as well as with well-known Christian singer Lauren Daigle and The New Respects on “Watchmen.” Featuring scripture-inspired lyrics, this album is a must-add to your worship playlist.
Felicia Holt has been writing for NRT since 2024. She lives in North Carolina with her husband and children. She is a lifelong fan of Christian music and enjoys attending concerts and spending time outdoors with a good book.
