As much as I love Christmas and Christmas music, I sometimes grow tired of hearing the same songs over and over again. Every year, I love searching to discover new, original Christian Christmas songs, especially upbeat ones. 2025 was no different, and we were once again blessed with several notable artists releasing Christmas songs that point to Jesus while bringing that message festively and joyfully, as the six songs below share.
Forrest Frank - "Christmas Morning (feat. JVKE)"
Following last year's "The Present," pop artist Forrest Frank returns with his newest and most upbeat Christmas song yet, "Christmas Morning." The celebratory anthem featuring mainstream pop artist JVKE is one of the funnest and festive songs of the year, reminding me of Christmas pop favorites like "Light of Christmas" by pop artists Owl City and TobyMac. The song is a mix of rap and pop that shares the joy of the season and the true joy of Jesus.
Good Weather Forecast - "Little Christmas"
Dream Label Group pop/rock band Good Weather Forecast released their newest festive gift for the holiday season with their song "Little Christmas." The music is both fun and catchy, centered on Jesus, and filled with that sweet Christmas sound, making it a favorite for listeners. This one surprised me and became one of my favorite original Christmas songs I've heard this year, too.
Michael Sarver - "All I Need"
Another upbeat song, with a unique take: "All I Need" by Michael Sarver. Michael is a former American Idol contestant and a brand-new artist in the Christian music world. He has released two singles so far, with "Warrior" (NRT premiered the video here) and "Victory Song." His newest Christmas song continues his signature style and powerful voice, paired with a bold declaration of Jesus being the most important thing for the Christmas season.
Hopeful. - "Let The Season Come To Light"
California-based rock/pop group Hopeful. Christian artist Franni Cash has had a year opening for others, releasing their debut EP, dropping several singles, and concluding the year with two new Christmas songs. Along with an excellent U2 cover, the group released an original Christmas anthem that has quickly become one of my favorites of the year, called "Let The Season Come To Light." Still falling into pop territory, while bringing a refreshing rock sound and festive lyrics, this song points to the faithful hope of Christmas; it's a can't-miss.
Cielo - "God's Only Son" and "Adore Him"
Upcoming EDM artist Cielo has been slowly gaining traction with his music over the past year and is continuing that trend with his latest double single, "God's Only Son" and "Adore Him." The two songs are highly produced and bring a fresh, energetic sound to the Christmas story and the hope of Jesus coming down for us.
Good Things Collective - "Rejoice"
Bringing an upbeat worship sound to the mix, Good Things Collective surprised listeners with their debut Christmas song "Rejoice." The new worship collective, led by former Jesus Culture worship leader Chris McClarney, is a collective of worship writers and artists passionate about creating authentic worship and godly community in everything they do. "Rejoice" is a fun Christmas song of praise for this time of year, celebrating the birth of our King Jesus.
