“Stars” reflects on my life’s journey, recognizing that even when some dreams don’t come true, God can use our broken plans to create a greater story. The song talks about how my childhood dream of becoming an astronaut was redirected by life’s circumstances—specifically the death of my brother Jacob—which led me to find a new path through music. It shows how, even without reaching my original goal, I’ve been able to pursue and fulfill my astronomical dreams through faith that helps me cope with grief and hold onto hope.
Ultimately, “Stars” is about holding onto faith and daring to dream again despite life’s setbacks and heartbreaks, understanding that even when our plans fall apart, God’s purpose still shines bright through the darkness like stars lighting up the night sky.
