Each week, dozens of singles and a handful of projects are released in the Christian Hip-Hop (CHH) and Urban Soul spaces. Below, we have listed a few highlights and included the rest for your review. Reconstruction by Lecrae Reach Records' Lecrae released his tenth overall studio album. Also, his extensive discography includes four mixtapes (Church Clothes series), two collaboration projects (with 1K Phew and Miles Minnick), and several label-driven audio works of art such as 13 Letters and the annual Summer Playlist drops (2018-present). Reconstruction details an unparalleled and transparent dive into the internal makeup of Lecrae expanded over his raw viewpoints, and unashamed examples of faith.
Extended over 19 tracks, the highly-anticipated album contains features from the mainstream spectrum including Killer Mike, T.I., Jon Bellion, and Fridayy. However, respected voices from the faith-based community gathered too such as Madison Ryann Ward, Torey D'Shaun, Hollyn, Propaganda, Aklesso, MEEZO!, and Reach's own Jackie Hill Perry.
Personal favorites are "LIFE," "Brick for Brick" featuring MEEZO!, and "Erase Me" featuring Hollyn. Reconstruction invites anyone wrestling with belief to rebuild a healthy version of faith, grounded in the writings of the scripture. Lecrae had this to say about the central theme of the album, "Broken things can be rebuilt. Broken people can be restored. Broken faith can be renewed. This is more than an album, it's a reconstruction of all things." The 4-time Grammy-winner gazes inward returning to the core beliefs and practices of God's Word.
Derek Minor and Canon feat. Quinten Coblentz - "Save the Hero" Reflection Music Group’s (RMG) Derek Minor and Canon drop their second single from the upcoming collaboration album titled, Vigilante. During Canon’s contribution, he fires off, “I thought about while I’m still alive, would they give me roses? /Or if I died, how many days would it take for you to even notice?,” questioning self-worth. It’s something not only that I struggle with, but most likely millions of people across the globe.
Derek Minor and Canon wrote this song from a place of "raw vulnerability," aiming to remind listeners that they don't always have to be the hero. It's a reminder that when you're feeling the weight of the world, you can lean on God for strength. The song is custom built for "the fighters, the faithful, the ones who never fold." The track serves as the opening chapter to a story that has been years in the making, making it a compelling introduction to the soon-to-be-released album. F.L.O.G.I.C. feat. K Diamond - "P.O.V." Tribl Records' artist F.L.O.G.I.C releases their first single of 2025 celebrating African American culture and the importance of unity found through Christ Jesus. Breanna and Taylour Dickerson were born and raised in Long Island, New York and their faith foundations began early in the church through dance and performance. A bass-heavy anthem of faith, F.L.O.G.I.C engage in an energetic, catchy collection of sound bouncing between tempos and cadences. Stream "P.O.V." on Spotify and Apple Music.
