Each week, dozens of singles and a handful of projects are released in the Christian Hip-Hop (CHH) and Urban Soul spaces. Zauntee - "OUTWORK U" Newly independent Floridian artist Zauntee drops his latest single. “Outwork U” is a certified summer anthem encouraging Christians to step up and outwork everybody around you. At your personal job. At parenting. At expanding God’s kingdom or whatever other facet of life. The triumphant horns mixed with the trap beat is perfectly done. Lyrics such as, “a puppet isn’t a puppet with the strings gone” enforce Zauntee’s appeal of creating art for the Kingdom on his own without attachment to a major record label. This track is for the zealots, the true fans. This ones for the Kingdom. Suit up and let’s ride! Stream “OUTWORK U” on Spotify and Apple Music.
GET WELL SOON! EP by Lecrae and Miles Minnick Reach Records’ Lecrae teamed up with the Empire Records/GLO’s Miles Minnick to construct something unique. Lecrae is no stranger to working with up-and-coming influential artists on features. In January 2023, the two first joined forces on a single titled, “BIG!” on behalf of Minnick. Fast forward to present times and “Heaven Sent” was intended to the be extent of the second collaboration related to a forth coming Lecrae project. However, the two meshed seamlessly and worked tirelessly (and quick), Lecrae wanted to build bigger and showcase the talents of Minnick and what he’s building on the west coast. Also, it provided opportunity for Lecrae to touch base with his Californian roots. The basis of the project is for believers to “get well soon” from a sick, twisted world of sin and cement your walk with Christ.
Favorites include “The Method” featuring iconic E-40, “Heaven Sent,” and “Iced Out My Life.” Most ‘Crae fans have noticed a degree of leveling up in his lyrical prowess as of late. I think projects such as these challenged Lecrae with a variant of sound and approach. It’s as if Lecrae has gotten a “second wind” and seems lyrically stronger then ever. Let’s not leave Minnick out of the same type of conversation, as he has moved forward in veteran-like gains related to delivery, presence, and overall shine. Derek Minor - "Can't Stop Me Now (Gregatron Remix)"
Reflection Music Group’s Derek Minor DNA is built for motivation. Minor will motivate believers to draw closer to God, to work harder for the Kingdom as a whole, to push yourself when circumstances are far from ideal, or just to do better. The original single was released near the end of July in 2024. Nearly a year later, the track gets the remix treatment from iconic producer Gregatron. Some notable credits of his are working with the likes of For King & Country, Limoblaze, 1K Phew, Selah and many more.
The remix, “blends heavy 808s with lyrical intent. It’s built for fans of trap who still want substance. Ideal for gym playlists, late-night drives, or anyone with hat “keep going no matter what” state of mind,” comments the label.
