Life.Church Worship, an Oklahoma-based group, recently launched its Sing As One album and released 16 live worship videos. These videos showcase the group's passion for worship and provide a mesmerizing visual experience that inspires viewers to join in and give praise to God.
“When we filmed these music videos, we gathered about 50 worship pastors from our different locations in one room to sing as one body of believers,” Cassidy Estevez shares, who also sings for Switch on their standout songs, “Letting Go,” “Better View,” “Perfection,” “Count Me In” and “Symphony.”
A recurring theme in their albums is remembering our identity and connection to Christ. I spoke with Cassidy, the Ministry Leader of Worship Arts at Life.Church about their catchy and poignant new song “No Question.”
Please tell me the personal story behind this song.
I collaborated with songwriter Kalley Heiligenthal as we both navigated grief. The song is a conversation with God. And, in this conversation, we ask challenging questions and realize that He is trustworthy—even when we’re unsure of where His plans may lead us.
I recognize that I have never been in control of my situation. I’m holding on to things I can see and feel, but I want to let go and allow Him to do what is best. His ways are higher than our ways.
The truth of who we are in Christ is what we wanted to capture in this multi-layered song. God looks at us, sees His creation, and sees us as whole. As we become more like Christ, we’re transformed into His image and perfected. Knowing I’m complete in His eyes is the most important.
This song is a good reminder of what truly matters in eternity. I want people to know that God loves us exactly how we are. Walk in that freedom. Don’t let culture’s demands burden you. Walk in God’s love. We are whole. There’s no question God loves you.
Which Bible verses connect to the message of the song?
Romans 8:28(VOICE): “We are confident that God is able to orchestrate everything to work toward something good and beautiful when we love Him and accept His invitation to live according to His plan.”
1 Corinthians 13:12(NKJV): "For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known."
Jeremiah 29:11-13(NIV): "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart."
Proverbs 16:9(MSG): “We plan the way we want to live, but only God makes us able to live it.”
Philippians 4:6(VOICE): “Don't be anxious about things; instead, pray. Pray about everything. He longs to hear your requests, so talk to God about your needs and be thankful for what has come.”
Philippians 4:7(NKJV): "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
James 1:18-19(VOICE): "We have a special role in His plan. He calls us to life by His message of truth so that we will show the rest of His creatures His goodness and love. Listen, open your ears, harness your desire to speak, and don't get worked up into a rage so easily, my brothers and sisters."
Psalm 139:14(NIV): "I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
Psalm 139:17-18(NKJV): "How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand. When I awake, I am still with You."
Ephesians 2:10(NLT): "For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago."
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV): "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."
Philippians 1:6(NKJV): “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV): But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
Isaiah 55:8-9 (NKJV): "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts."
What is the takeaway message?
When we try to control the outcome of our circumstances of anxiety or whatever we’re facing in our lives, it gets heavy and weighs us down. The reason for that is it was never our burden to hold. Instead, we’re supposed to trust God and let Him carry our loads. That is the lighter, easier, and freer way of living. You must come to a conscious place where you are willing to ask God to come and abolish anything we have planned that is not of Him.
When we wrote this album, we wanted to create more than just words for people to sing. We wanted to make an album that helps people press into what matters: worship that draws us closer to the Father, aligns our hearts with His, and reminds us of our desperate need for Him daily.
Lyrics
Can I trust what You say Will it all be okay Will Your love hold me up Or crumble and fall Under the weight Will the questions I hold Bring resolve to my soul Is that what I need Or can there be peace In the things I don’t know
Will You sit with me patiently As long as it takes for me to believe There’s no question that You love me No question that You love me Doesn’t matter if on this side of heaven The answer I get is just Your presence As long as You are with me There’s no question No question that You love me
When I finally pause And I let You be God The mystery brings me back to my knees And near to Your heart In the most honest place That’s where I wanna stay There’s no judgment here No shame and no fear No question too great
When You sit with me patiently As long as it takes for me to believe There’s no question that You love me No question that You love me Doesn’t matter if on this side of heaven The answer I get is just Your presence As long as You are with me There’s no question No question that You love me
No question that You love me
And that’s all I need to know That’s all I need to know That’s all I need to know right now Is that You love me Oh, that’s all I need to know That’s all I need to know That’s all I need to know right now Is that You love me Oh, it’s all I need to know It’s all I need to know It’s all I need to know right now
'Cause You sit with me patiently As long as it takes for me to believe There’s no question that You love me No question that You love me Doesn’t matter if on this side of heaven The answer I get is just Your presence As long as You are with me There’s no question No question that You love me
Closing Thoughts
God is love, and He loved us first. Because of this, we’re able to love others. It's important to find joy and express it through worship, acknowledging the love of God in our lives. His grace brings forgiveness and takes away anxiety, guilt, and shame. We need to remember that being His child is enough. When listening to Cassidy's vocals, I hear a genuine yearning for the Lord and a heart full of gratitude for His mercy and grace.
"No Question" is a daily prayer that humbly requests God to transform our hearts and lives. Indeed, only Jesus holds the power to grant us our true identity. It's a powerful reminder that God is always by our side, never abandoning us. He’s our all-sufficient source of strength.
All of us can relate to these words in some way: “When I finally pause/And I let You be God/The mystery brings me back to my knees/And near to Your heart/In the most honest place/That’s where I wanna stay/There’s no judgment here/No shame and no fear/No question too great.”
If you're struggling with doubts or other issues, turn to Jesus and lay your burdens at his feet. Let Him take them from you and set you free. It's important to remember that God wants to hear from you and is always willing to listen.
As Christians, we’re called to believe in the freedom that comes from the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. This means we are free from addictions, insecurities, and the pressure to be perfect.
Jesus died for us so we can all truly live in Him. Although we can't fully comprehend the realities of our broken world, we can put our trust in Jesus, the Son of God. His ways are higher than our ways.
“No Question” is an excellent reminder of the kind of heart we should have as people valued by God and as Christians who can communicate our value to others. Songs like “No Question” allow God to whisper our identity. It's not found in what we do or don't do but in who we are and, more importantly, to whom we belong. I pray the song’s words over my daughters.
Cassidy writes and sings her breath, given to her by God, into anointed new songs for the church. This powerful song, a stand-out anthem with a convicting declaration, will bless you.
We can all celebrate the truth behind this song. We can sing to God with all our hearts: “Cause You sit with me patiently/As long as it takes for me to believe/There’s no question that You love me/No question that You love me/Doesn’t matter if on this side of heaven/The answer I get is just Your presence/As long as You are with me/There’s no question/No question that You love me.” Amen to that.
