"Grow me, Holy Spirit mold me, change me by Your mercy God, to be more like You / seek You, Father God I seek You.”

Just You And Me
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word
seeker?
For some, it might be a character in a book or a position in a fictional sport . Whatever comes to mind, the word
seeker always has the same meaning behind it—to search out, to inquire and to strive for something. We are all seekers. Every single one of us is searching for something. What makes a person’s search so unique is what that person is searching
for.
Believers are no exception.
Most people would think after someone has given their life to Jesus, that the search is over. In a way, it is. The search for meaning, purpose, life and God—that portion of the search is done, but our seeking doesn’t end with the first amen. It is a life-long process to discover God, who He is and what He has planned for our lives.
Colossians 3:1 says,
“Seek those things which are above.” It means to think with the mind of Christ, just as we were raised with Him.
All throughout the Bible, we read about seeking God. In Deuteronomy 4:29, it says to seek God because, when we seek Him with all our hearts, we will find Him. Throughout the book of Psalms, we continually see David saying of God that he will rise early to seek Him and meditate on His word late at night. The answers in the bible are clear. They are there in front of us to claim for our lives. So why, then, are believers still looking to this world, and all that it says, for their answers?
One of the lines in Adie's song, “Seek You,” says,
"Where my treasure lies, there will my heart be also". It is taken directly out of the book of Matthew, where Jesus says that our treasure will be where our heart dwells. I don’t know about you, but I have seen all the Lord’s promises. I don’t care what this world offers me. I only want what God has. He created me. He created everything and everybody, so wouldn’t He know better than anyone what we need?
My question for you today is this: What are you seeking?
Are you living in a world full of yes’s and no’s, doing what
that person says to do, eating what
so-in-so says to eat, going where
they tell you to go to get you there faster? Or are you digging into the word and seeking God, looking for Him with your whole heart and finding Him?
Where you base your heart, you are also basing your treasure. Where are you investing your heart?
I encourage you to take this line in "Seek You" to heart:
Grow me, Holy Spirit mold me. Press into God, seek Him and seek all that He has for you. It says when we seek, we shall find. It’s not even a question of maybe or possibly. When we allow the Lord to shape our lives—when we allow the Holy Spirit to grow us and mold us into the image of Christ, the way that we are meant to be—we discover the life that God has planned for us, and it’s a good one.
Place your heart in God. Become a seeker of His Word. You won’t believe all the treasure you will suddenly find that you have…once you do. You can hold me to that!
