Rend Collective is a band of friends hailing from Northern Ireland. Since 2010, they have been releasing music left, right, and center. From Christmas music to worship, they celebrate God in everything. Their Irish sound always shines through. They began as a simple experiment but now have grown into an international success. They have toured with some major artists in Christian music, such as Chris Tomlin, Lecrae, and Tenth Avenue North.

The band also runs Rend Collective Kids, a music ministry geared towards children. Their first Christmas album was released in 2014 and their newest one was just released a month ago. We take a look at songs from both albums to close out the 2020 series of Worship Wednesday.

I love that this song emanates true happiness. The whole point of Christmas is to celebrate and joy is in abundance. This month, I challenge you to let go of the cumulative stress of this year. Take some deep breaths in and out. Hand it over to God. If that means physically reaching your arms up to the sky, do it. God has a handle on your stress and struggles. He can handle anything you throw His way. I know it can be difficult, but you can do it. You made it through 2020 and you deserve to rejoice. Let's all join together in holiday cheer. It will soon be Christmas and that is the Saviour's day.

Despite this crazy year, Christmas is still happening. Yes, it looks different and it definitely won't feel the same as years past, but in essence, it is the same holiday. It was never about the big feasts or the present giving. It is and has always been about the birth of Jesus. If you are by yourself this Christmas, remember that God invites everyone to His table. Let's praise God together and thank Him for His goodness. Thank you, God, for being there for us, not just on Christmas, but every day during the year. Please fill our hearts with joy this holiday season and remind us of your ultimate gift to us: Jesus. God, we love you and we need you.
