Watch out for Jet Trouble. He's a 24-year-old upcoming artist from Dallas, Texas, who blends alternative rock, pop, and R&B into his music. He's already making waves with his recent singles, “Let Us Pray” and "God and Me.” His music speaks to Christians of all ages and backgrounds; he provides a message of hope and love to anyone in need.
In February 2021, Jet's marrying the love of his life, Hannah. The artist loves all things country: country music, Southern cooking, nature, camping, and so on. Did you also know Jet's a sweet tea connoisseur and an introvert by nature?
I spoke with Jet about his latest work, what's on the horizon, and how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected him. He shared his thoughts on how and who he hopes his music impacts, and so much more.
What audiences are you wanting to reach with your music?
My passion is people. I'm passionate about the lost. And, I'm passionate about the found. I describe my music as honest music. So, I want to reach an audience that is seeking some truth and honesty in what they are listening to.
What are some of your creative influences?
I have many creative influences. To list a few: Tim McGraw, Jon Bellion, Kanye West, John Mayer, and Electric Light Orchestra. These are all very different artists and bands in different genres. But, they are all talented creatives in their own way that have inspired me.
Tell us about your latest singles, "Let Us Pray" and "God and Me." When can we see a new album or EP?
My latest singles "God and Me" and "Let Us Pray" give the listener an in-depth look at what I've felt and gone through in this last season of life. One song highlights my struggle with the highs and lows of life, while the other highlights my love and affection for my fiance, Hannah. Each song is special in its own way. As for an album or EP, I think surprises are the best.
As COVID-19 restrictions continue, what do you miss most about performing live?
I miss the pay-off moment: the moment you step off the stage and realize everything you rehearsed and practiced for has paid off. It's the greatest feeling: just knowing that your hard work wasn't for nothing. I have high hopes to be back on stage soon.
What’s next? How can we be praying for you?
Well, new music of course. But, besides that, we'll all just have to wait and see. I'd love for you to pray for my future marriage. Please pray that God blesses my fiance and I as we enter into a lifelong commitment. I'd also love prayer for the music, that it impacts the hearts it needs to and that God does whatever he needs to do through it.
