Caroline, Carolyne and Jordan returned to the studio to record their 4th studio project, The Real Thing, chock-full of the fun, upbeat songs kids and parents know, love, and have come to expect from pureNRG.

I got the chance to interview Caroline from pureNRG and ask her some questions about two songs from The Real Thing. You can listen to our entire interview here.

How did you all select the songs for The Real Thing?

The band has a song picking session and we all voted and picked songs based on beats and positive messages. One of the songs we discussed was “It’s All About You”, which is based on Isaiah 12:5 (NLT).

Sing to the LORD, for he has done wonderful things. Make known his praise around the world.

For me, my favorite song on The Real Thing is “Sweet Jesus.” The song is based on Psalm 23:1 (NLT).

A psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need.

Caroline told me that “Sweet Jesus” is also one of her favorites on the album. "Jesus is with us everywhere," she says. "Whenever you are down or having a bad day you can turn to Jesus who is our Savior, Shelter and Shepherd."

Caroline’s comments regarding the theme of the album is that The Real Thing is about standing up for what you believe in, and not being afraid because God created everyone special and wonderful in their own way. God gives us all special gifts and pureNRG hopes listeners can find their special gift and use it for the Lord.
