The Afters "Joy Unto The World"
It’s hard to believe that after all these years in the biz, a band like The Afters hasn’t previously had a Christmas song. Good thing the boys decided to correct that oversight this year. With "Joy Unto The World," The Afters delivers one of the most insanely catchy Christmas singles of recent memory. I dare you not to sing along to this surefire hit and its joyful energy.
Natasha Owens "A Christmas Twist"
Natasha Owens brings the fun with her upbeat and energetic "A Christmas Twist." With a brisk runtime that packs a punch, this jam is great for Christmas parties and helping you get energized to dec out the house.
Chris Tomlin - Christmas Day EP
Chris Tomlin already has a few Christmas releases under his belt, but 2019 sees him dropping a new EP. The title track is a reverent and fun hit that exercises Tomlin’s signature style to produce a memorable Christmas anthem. Also, look for “His Name Is Wonderful” for another EP highlight.
Big Daddy Weave "Joy! He Shall Reign"
Add Big Daddy Weave to the list of artists having previously released a Christmas album returning with a new single this year. With a soaring original that screams for radio play and loud sing-alongs at home, you’ll find it incredibly hard to resist the passion and singability of this one.
TobyMac "All I Need For Christmas"
Fans mourned with Toby at the sudden loss of his son, Truett, this autumn. While this song was recorded and planned before this tragedy happened, it’s joyful and peppy vibes do carry a tinge of sadness now. Toby is no stranger to Christmas singles and he’s got an increasing body of originals set on getting your foot tapping at the holidays. This song fits well in that tradition. But as we move along to the groovy beat, let’s also keep Toby, his family, and the families of all who are missing a loved one in our thoughts and prayers this Christmas. Hopefully, it can serve as a reminder to all of us of what we all really need for Christmas.
