I've been changed, I've been saved / Brand new day / I've been changed, I've been changed

"Changed" is a super fun song that shares Jordan's story of how Jesus has changed his life, but it's also so much more than that. The reality is, if you have put your faith in Jesus, you've been changed too. Here are two ways you are changed when Jesus saves you.
 
#1. You've been brought to life.

Let me take the mic, go on and testify / How I was dead and then I came to life / No more living in the dark of night / Now everything's alright

The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that "anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun." Jesus gives us new life when we believe in Him. We are made spiritually alive and able to connect with God. Our past sins and mistakes are wiped away and we get to start with a clean slate in Jesus. Through His Spirit, He renews our thoughts, attitudes, and actions over time so we can live according to His truth and His righteousness instead of following the way of sin (Ephesians 4:17-24). We have joy, peace, and hope in this life because of Jesus (Romans 15:13).

#2. You have a testimony.

Let me tell you, all my friends / About this joy I'm living in

When we tell others about how Jesus has transformed and is transforming our lives, it not only causes us to celebrate what God has done in us, it also shows others that they can experience Jesus working in their lives too if they come into relationship with Him. Jesus uses our stories to draw people closer to Himself and to stir their faith for what He can do in their lives.  

Just think of the Samaritan woman in John 4:39-42. A whole village became curious to hear the gospel and came to believe in Jesus, and it all started with the woman sharing with them how she experienced the work of Jesus in her life.

Final Thoughts

If you belong to Jesus, you've been changed. Let this song remind you to live in that truth daily, to celebrate it and tell the world about it.
