Look inside the mystery, see the empty cross. See the risen Savior, victorious and strong...

This Easter season, as you consider Jesus' sacrifice on the cross at Calvary, think also of His resurrection. The bruised and bloodied Son of the Living God, who was and is Himself God, did not stay on that tree. No, HE IS RISEN! And not only is He risen, He is alive in you and me if we have accepted Him as our savior (Romans 10:9-10).

The supernatural exchange that bought our salvation, healing and peace also guaranteed our eternal life. As Christ was raised from the dead, so shall we be (John 11:25)! The work is done; as Jesus said, "It is finished" (John 19:30). No more striving, no more living under the law. We have a new covenant and a high priest who gave Himself as the perfect sacrifice.  

So, for a moment, close your eyes. See Jesus as though He were looking down from the cross into your eyes as He lays down His life for you. Eternal love. Now, look beyond the cross. See the empty tomb and resurrected Savior who conquered death and the grave and has made it possible for us to do the same. Eternal life (Revelation 1:17-18).
