Christmas carols. You've heard them, undoubtedly hundreds of times during the holiday season--perhaps to the point where they're routine to sing. Despite their profound poetry, theological declarations and moving depictions of Jesus' birth, sometimes the message gets lost in the shuffle, and the carols find themselves right alongside chestnuts and red noses.
Sometimes, we need to take the tune away and look deeply into the beautiful themes of the carols. In our Christmas series, the NRT staff each wrote their personal reflections on a classic carol, in hopes that it would inspire your Advent and Christmastide seasons.
