Capital Kings, signed to TobyMac's label Gotee Records, released their debut record this week. If you've been looking for some upbeat danceable music with a message of grace... this is an album for you.

@christomlin: really excited today for the release of BURNING LIGHTS... please forgive the unusual number of tweets...but i'm very grateful:) (January 8)
Chris Tomlin's latest, Burning Lights, is now available, inspiring an unusual storm of tweets from the worship artist this week.
#3 - Conflicting Emotions
@adamkronshagen: Just wrote a song with @BarbieAriel that will make you cry AND want to punch someone in the face. #heavy #somuchsynth #breakdowns (January 9)
Icon For Hire is hard at work writing their sophomore follow-up to their crushing debut Scripted. Drummer Adam shared some warning in advance though: get ready for some serious reactions to their musical epic.
#4 - Soundtrack Safety
@MorrisonSeth: Listening to The Dark Knight soundtrack while driving isn't safe... I want to make my car jump off the interstate and crash through walls... (January 10)
There are some soundtracks that should come with warning labels. If this comment from Skillet's guitarist is to be believed, The Dark Knight soundtrack is one of them.
#5 - Genre Roulette
@ChapStique: The song we're currently writing is just ur basic tune that sounds like James Brown meets Muse meets LCD Soundsystem meets Rhianna. (January 11)
Either Family Force 5 is having a musical identity crisis, or ChapStique is just trying to keep their real plans well hidden.
#6 - Habit Forming
@calebgrimm: I was caught with a cup of coffee in hand during our concert tonight... I'm starting to think I have a problem. (January 11)
Caleb Grimm's coffee habit is beginning to infiltrate his performances with Anthem Lights. If you notice an unusual amount of energy on his section of the stage, this might be why.
#7 - Delayed Effect
@jamiegraceh: drove past the line outside winterjam w window down screamin "thanks for waiting in line, have fun tonight!" except no one knew who is was
@jamiegraceh: so i started yellin "ill have more make up on later! It'll all make sense to you!" And only like one person got it... Gonna be a fun night! (January 12)
Jamie Grace's attempt to connect to the line outside of WinterJam could have been more successful-- though hopefully it took effect a few hours later once she took the stage.
#8 - Comparisons
@RoyalTailor: We are a boy band like The Beatles were a boy band IF in fact we are a boy band. (January 12)
The "boy band" tag need some explanation at times.
#9 - The Art of Awkward
@audreyassad: In my line of work I meet many strangers with whom I have many awkward conversations. Music breeds familiarity...oh the sweet awkwardness. (January 13)
One of the lesser-known benefits of being a professional musician: building a collection of awkward conversations.
#10 - Keep it Cool
@thejoehenderson: You know what's great about walking in the rain while wearing TOMS? Pneumonia. (January 13)
Canvas TOMS are cool in many ways... in the winter rain, quite literally
TOP TEN PICTURES
#1 - Overlooking
Crouton decided the best way to celebrate his instagram achievement was by taking a group picture--on a roof.
#2 - Celebrity Cred
@jasongraymusic: Over my shoulder: Jacob & Kipper got a photo op with Skrillex who was eating breakfast at our hotel this morning http://instagr.am/p/UMEUPHk-dp/ (January 7)
Jason Gray and his sons shared a hotel breakfast room with dubstep pioneer Skrillex. Jason seems to be significantly less excited about it than his sons, presumably due to years of training in the music industry at keeping his cool.
#3 - Footloose
Seth Mosley (known for leading the band Me In Motion and his writing work with bands such as Newsboys) has been keeping the Hawk Nelson boys on task as they wrap up their first album since the departure of former frontman Jason Dunn. He's left plenty of room for fun along the way.
#4 - Hardcore Hangs
When the guitarist of Skillet and We As Human get together... hardcore goofing off seems to be the primary kind of hardcore that goes down.
#5 - On Screen
@4kingandcountry: We were honored to play the #TonightShow w/ @JayLeno! Cheers to you easterners who tuned in! Airing out west in 47min! pic.twitter.com/6PO3IA5f (January 11)
For King & Country had a special opportunity this week to play on Jay Leno's Tonight Show and, judging by the pictures they shared, it was a stellar performance.
#6 - Style Update
Flyleaf's new lead singer is bringing her own style to the band-- quite literally.
#7 - Feats of Strength
In addition to filming a music video this week, J.J. Heller ran a half-marathon-- more than qualifying her for this particular pose.
#8 - Visibility
@itsbrittnicole: So cool to be driving down Hollywood blvd in LA and see my pic on the side of @capitolrecords! :) yah! http://instagr.am/p/UW7neaASd6/ (January 11)
Britt Nicole has continued to make waves with her album Gold, as most recently evidenced by the side of the Capitol Records building.
#9 - Under the Lights
Thousand Foot Krutch got up early to take their places for filming a music video for “War of Change.” This will be the band's first music video in several years, and it will be well worth watching for.
#10 - Jam City
@mikeredmusic: It's a bus farm out here winterjam. I see kids playing football outside. Maybe I will go throw some pigskin http://instagr.am/p/Ub6ugKGb56/ (January 13)
The yearly WinterJam tour truly is a small city on wheels.
