Since his 2006 debut, Christian music’s beloved and twice-honored Male Vocalist of the Year (2009 and 2010) Brandon Heath has won an Emmy Award, been nominated for two GRAMMYs, an American Music Award, and holds multiple GMA Dove Awards.
He is involved in Young Life, International Justice Mission, and Blood-Water Mission. In addition to raising $100,000 for the needs in his native Nashville at his annual Love Your Neighbor benefit, Heath’s soaring career includes three No. 1 hits, “I’m Not Who I Was,” “Wait and See” and 2009’s GMA Dove-winning Song of the Year, “Give Me Your Eyes.”
Staying true to his signature autobiographical style, Brandon Heath’s acoustic driven melodies are perfectly balanced by producer Dan Muckala’s pop sensibilities for his latest release Leaving Eden. Heath, and acclaimed co-writing partner/producer Jason Ingram, penned the record’s first single “Your Love” as a testament to God’s abounding love that never leaves us, gives purpose and lights our way.

This album speaks to your soul, on a whole different level. It's beautiful music. Truly Brandon Heath at his best! It's almost like Brandon has reached a whole different spiritual level and through his music you move to that level with him. "I'm going, going home!" Thanks Brandon and NRT for allowing me listen to it for 2 weeks. YAy!!! XXXX

Leaving Eden presents a new Brandon Heath. This isn't actually good. Heath leaves his traditional songwriting which was good, and aims for a more spiritual writing focusing on inner turmoil.
For instance Leaving Eden, the title track, says he feels like he is leaving Eden. Were never in Eden. So honestly I can understand maybe figuratively as in the comforts of our home. But still this is never explain. I feel that Heath leaves out his incredible skills to write about exterior turmoil. This album seems to leave out hope. Only a couple songs speak of a real hope, the one we find in Christ. Yet the album seems to dwell on the trouble of this world. I would like to see Brandon focus on God and stories more than trouble.
Overall Heath takes a step backward in an album that should've been better.
Album Preview| Posted January 15, 2011
I'm previewing Brandon Heath's new album as I write this, I feel exactly what he's saying.."All I ever needed is Your love." That's such an amazing lyric! Brandon's voice sounds great, if you haven't had the chance to give the preview a listen, you should make that happen! As soon as I have some extra cash, I fully intend on going out and buying this album. Great work! =]

from Leaving Eden, "Your Love" has become one of my favorites since adding it to our play list. I've always enjoyed listening to Brandon sing & to have an opportunity to listen to the entire project before it is released...well that is great. Brandon's heartfelt words have a way of just helping you fall in love with Jesus all over again.

I can say that Brandon really did mean what he said when he said he was experimenting with new sounds and that this is the most "POP" sounding record he's done- it's true. Kudos for growth.
