Just in time for Halloween, Family Force 5 partnered with Skelanimals and Target retail stores to bring the special, limited edition Keep The Party Alive EP exclusively to Target. The EP is titled after a brand new song that was cut for a Skelanimals/Target Halloween ad campaign, and the disc features the song as well as accessible video content as well.
Keep The Party Alive EP is a cleverly constructed sampler of sorts. The six-song disc servers as an introduction of Family Force 5 to Skelanimal fans and Target shoppers, combining already available songs from Dance Or Die and Dance Or Die With A Vengeance. For fans of the band, there aren't too many extra goodies included here. Although it comes with high quality Quicktime video files of the Skelanimals promo commercial and the concept video for the song "Dance Or Die" on the disc, most fans will already have the five songs included along with the new track. The aforementioned title track may be worth the purchase of the disc, however. "Keep The Party Alive" is just as the title suggests - a fun dance party anthem that, although lacking any real lyrical substance, could have easily fit on Dance Or Die and contains enough of the Family Force charm to satisfy devoted listeners (although it is disappointing that the track isn't even three minutes long). For a brief time, this song was only available on this exclusive Target release (which proved really difficult to find), but now the track is available on iTunes and is well worth the single purchase.
Overall, Keep The Party Alive EP is perfect for introducing new fans to Family Force 5. While it's up to the individual fan whether or not the $5.99 EP is worth purchasing if they already have all of the band's albums to date, it may be more cost effective to just pick up the new track digitally. Still, this is a great opportunity for the band to expand their reach a bit and Family Force listeners who aim to collect every product with the band's name on it will certainly want to track down a copy of this one.

The Party Comes Alive| Posted April 05, 2012
Over the past couple years Family Force 5 has been churning out music like there's no tomorrow. First came Dance or Die, then the remix album Dance or Die With A Vengeance, then Keep the Party Alive EP, and finally their latest Christmas album.
So, how does their latest EP stack up? Not very well, actually. I'm a huge FF5 fan, but their latest offering is a bit uninspired. All but the title track have been released previously on other albums. Keep the Party Alive is a great song filled with energy and acoustic guitar (on a FF5 album?). The two bonus videos are a nice touch, but not enough to warrant a purchase.
I would only recommend this EP to anyone who does not have 'Dance or Die' or 'DOD With a Vengeance'. If you have both of those albums, I would recommend downloading the title track separately.
I Love this EP!| Posted September 20, 2009
Family Force 5 has shown that they can be original and fresh with their music. This EP is no exception. My favorite song is quickly becoming "Keep the party Alive". Great lyrics and the beat is just addicting. I also like "Ghostride the Whip". At first i did not even think that it was the FF5 members singing the song. It is a new sound and i like it.
in this case ep stands for exceptional purchase| Posted September 19, 2009
Family Force 5 once again out did themselves on this cd.Though five of the six songs were previous releases the selection of them made the record awesome, but let us also not forget the new release off of this ep and that is "Keep the Party Alive"."Keep the Party Alive" is probably one of the best new singles releases I can think of in recent history, its filled with a great beat and fun lyrics, and as the song title hints Family Force 5 knows how to truly keep the party alive.Along with the new single you also get two rad remixes and three of Family Force 5's original mixed songs.

Pretty cute!| Posted July 28, 2011
I thought this was a pretty good EP although I already had a lot of the songs on here. I liked the video with the little animals and thought the song Keep the Party Alive was pretty good! I would encourage people to give this EP a shot... Although I'm definitely ready for FF5 to come out with a normal album rather than all these EPs. :)
Kinda the same| Posted November 14, 2009
This album was pretty much the release of a new single. "Keep the Party Alive" was definitely a song that I like and the Skelanimal short was really cute. All of the other songs were on different albums and they were really great too.
Keep the Party Alive will keep you alive....just kidding but it is a great song| Posted November 04, 2009
I bought this album just for Keep the Party Alive and the music videos. I had the other tracks because they were on the re-mix album. I wish they sold it in other stores so people who don't have Targets could get the album but when I heard that they released the track to iTunes I was glad. It is a great song by Family Force 5.
I don't know why...| Posted October 31, 2009
so many people hate the way FF5 has changed. Actually, they haven't changed that much at all! They're still their own crazy selfs and this song proves it! This song keeps you dancing all night long and is even better live! How can you not like it?
FREEKIN EPIC!| Posted October 10, 2009
Oh guys...Go buy this. FLIPPIN EPIC! Love the songs. The title track is so awesome. "Why u playing that song/ Ill go get my iPhone/ Move over DJ/ Let me get this groove on" So awesome. Dance or Die and Fever are the same as the Other albums. Theres a remix of "Get Your Back Off The Wall" by 30H!3 (Dance Or Die With A Vengeance cut.) as well as Ghostride The Whip (Which is freekin funny). The best song is the title track though. Im really loving the direction FF5 is going lately. More dance than crunk. Perfect for parties of pure epicness.
