Inpop Records' sister-fronted band Superchick followed up 700,000 career albums sold and 70 film, television, and video game placements with the premiere of its boldest, most unapologetic project to date, 2008's appropriately-titled Rock What You Got.
Three years in the making, Rock What You Got came on the heels of Superchick's most successful album ever, Beauty From Pain, which landed three No. 1 radio singles, including "We Live" and "Stand In The Rain." With this album, Superchick 'rocks what they've got' and reinvents itself with a more progressive, in-your-face sound the band dubbed 'rock-o-tronic.'
Seeking out world changers in the lost corners of a generation, Superchick noisily challenges the status quo, while journaling the band members' battles with depression and cancer in the quieter moments of the record. Produced by the band's own Max Hsu (Superchick, tobyMac, newsboys), Rock What You Got features the stand-out title track in addition to the songs "Breathe," "Crawl," and "Cross The Line," for which Superchick's spring 2008 headlining tour was named, among others.

Were do I start? wow this is by far the best Superchick album ever. This is the first album ever that I loved every song in the whole album! The songs alone does not make this a awesome album I also love the awesome christian testimony every one in this band has they truly are devoted to serve God with there music.
Best Album by Superchick!| Posted June 20, 2008
I personally think this is Superchick's best album to date! Alot better than Beauty From Pain and that album was amazing too. I like the variety of this album. Not one of the songs sound the same to me which is a good thing. You've got some techno rock(So Beautiful),Pop/Metal(Hey,Hey),
Punk(Cross the Line),Symphonic Punk Rock(Hold),Hip Hop/Rock(Rock What You Got), Electro-rock(Alive), and of course you can't forget the slow songs Breathe and Crawl(Carry Me Through). This is an awsome album and I encourage all of you to buy it if you like any of the genres I mentioned above.
Talk about awesome!| Posted June 20, 2008
I am a huge fan of Superchick's first album "Karaoke Superstar" and have missed their upbeat "girl power" music. Beauty From Pain was a great album, but different. Rock What You Got is going back a little more to the old days. Love it :)
change still is good| Posted June 19, 2008
It took some getting used to to a few of the songs, but I love Superchick, and they really know how to right lyrics that are true, and can be an anthum for many people, of different ages.
This album delivered more rock than their earlier works, but still had a lot of the original Superchick left in at least a few of the songs.
The only song I honestly can't stand is the last song. If it weren't for that I could give this album 5 stars, but I just don't care for music that is that unstructured, and it didn't even have lyrics to it.
This would be a great gift for anyone 12-30, but might be hard for the 40 and over crowd to like.

Rock what you got, but not to much.| Posted June 17, 2008
From beginning to end to be honest, this album never really takes off with any spectacular songs.
Superchic[k] has deffinatly kept in line with their themed music of empowering girls with believeing they are someone, and that they are beautiful despite what the world says which is very needed in this modern time what with the degrading of girls going on.
In comparison, I would have to put this album below par with their previous album "Beauty from pain" (which really touched me lyrically and instrumentally). With rocked up songs, as well as toned down contemplative songs, this is a good album to make you think about how you look at life.
I personaly think "Rock what you got" is a good album, but far from earth shattering.
My personal favorites off this disc are:
"Crawl" (Carry me through)
"Hold"
and "Hey Hey".
But this is just my opinion, check it out for yourself, and see what you think. :-)
Thanks for reading!

So far out of all the Superchick albums this is one of the most original ones they have done so far. They really stepped outside the box on this album. I hope this isn't the last album like this from Superchick.
