Rebecca St. James returns with her first new studio album in several years. If I Had One Chance To Tell You Something is a return to her rock roots and delivers messages of hope (You Are Loved), God's promises (Shadowlands), and surrender (God Help Me). Always a trendsetter, Rebecca combines rock, pop, and euro-stylings into her own unique sound that will resonate with listeners in profound ways. Rebecca says, "The new album speaks of hope and reality, God's faithfulness and promises when walking through the storm, and living the abundant life God has called us to." Having been voted CCM and Campus Life's favorite female artist 2 years in a row, anticipation will be high for the new album.

Sure Fire Hit| Posted September 26, 2009
Being honest, I bought this album back in late 2006 due to the fact that ?this girl named Rebecca? did a duet with one of my favorite groups, BarlowGirl. Now please give me a break?at the time I was a newer fan of Christian music, let alone did I know anything about the genera or anything about the lengthy carrier of Rebecca St James before the release of her album ?If I Had One Chance To Tell You Something?. Now, knowing what I know now and more recently going back to listen to this album, I see it with whole new eyes.
?IIHOCTTYS? starts off with ?God Help Me?, a straight up rock tune about the need of our God?the first single off the 2005 album, ?Alive? follows up, a true RSJ song, pop/rock with very relatable lyrics that are sure to touch any heart. ?You Are Loved?, a song where the album gets it?s lengthy namesake from, was written about one of Rebecca?s close friends in Australia whom she grew up and lost contact with, later finding out that he fell away from his faith. This song cries out to not only him, but to the dying world, letting them know that ?they are loved??defiantly the standout track on the album.
This album carries the message of ?loving? very well. Whether it be the issue of crying out to love in ?You Are Loved? to the love between friends in the heartfelt ?I Need You?, Rebecca lost much of her pop sound on this album and traded it in for a more organic almost modern rock feel??Thank You? (not to be confused with her pervious hit ?I Thank You?) is a duet between Rebecca and tobyMac about being thankful to God for all the things He gives us, even when we don?t se it. Toby?s vocals shine on this song and he brings his hip-hop flair to the table, Rebecca taking it and rolling with it wonderfully. ?Take All Of Me?, a cover of the beloved Hillsong tune, is done wonderfully while ?Forgive Me?, the duet with three sister trio BarlowGirl takes this album to another level. Fan of either band or RSJ or not, this song is sure to move you. The music in this song will haunt you, pure piano with roaring string orchestra builds up through the song makes this one stand out all on it?s own. Lyrically, it will move the hardest heart to tears?worth a listen whether you buy thus album or not.
Overall this album is a great listen, something you?ll love listening to from time to time and a CD that is sure to leave Rebecca?s fans wanting more. These same fans look forward to Rebecca?s long awaited next album sometime in 2010, but until then ?If I Had One Chance To Tell You Something? is a sure fire hit.
Strong Release from RSJ| Posted September 04, 2007
If you liked any of RSJ's earlier work, you'll love this release. If not, give it a try as overall I like this even more than her Greatest Hits album and it is equal to her live album, "aLive in Florida". This has the most energy and vocally and lyrically is very strong. Standout songs are "Alive", "God Help Me", "You Are Loved" and "Take All of Me". RSJ has really matured and ranks as one of the best female Christian artists in my opinion along with Plumb.
Nice Album!| Posted September 14, 2008
I positively, absolutely, love Rebecca St. James' music!!! This album is my favorite of all of her others. The songs are splendid and have great lyrics, not to mention that the album cover is really nice. She did some awesome songs for this cd and here are the best (in my opinion): "God Help Me", "Alive", "You Are Loved", "Forgive Me", "Lest I Forget", "Love Being Loved By You", and "Beautiful Stranger". The rest of the songs are really good too and it was kind of hard to pick my favorites :) 5 HUGE stars!

Rebecca St. James was one of the first Christian artists I started to listen to and she has such tremendous talent! This is my favorite album of hers!! I love it for the message it has and for the way she praises our Lord! I let a friend borrow it and she loves it too!

This is a great album from Rebecca St James. It also features tobyMac on Thank You and BarlowGirl on Forgive Me. If your a fan of Rebecca St James and her music you will enjoy this album as she adds pop/rock songs to this album to make this album sound awesome. My most favorite songs would be God Help Me, Alive, Thank You with tobyMac, and Forgive Me with BarlowGirl. Another Outstanding Performance from Rebecca.| Posted October 19, 2008
I've been a fan of Rebecca's for almost half a decade, and I have ALL her music, even the "Yes, I Believe In God" rare single, her karaoke CD and the GOD single. But no album (except for Transform) has ever come close to this. It features everything: Rock (God Help Me, Alive, Beautiful Stranger), Pop (You Are Loved, Love Being Loved, Shadowlands), Worship (Take All of Me, Forgive Me, Lest I Forget) and even Hip-Hop (Thank You). One of THE BEST albums of all time.
RSJ cd review| Posted March 07, 2008
Rebecca`s fresh modern rock sound combined with her experience as a Christian artist make this yet another hit cd. Every song is amazing. Her Aussie accent makes her music even more uniquely her own. Songs 'Thank You' and 'Forgive Me' feature guests BarlowGirl and tobyMac.I could go on and on..I love this cd!
Great!| Posted January 26, 2008
I love this CD! I personally think it is one of Rebecca's bests, although some songs are a little too slow for me to listen to all the time. I have to be in the right mood. Other than that, it's great! I even liked "You Are Loved" so much that I sang it as a special twice! Nice job, Rebecca! =D

Rebecca St. James is known to make great music but i can honestly say that this cd is the best of her work. I can say that i love every single song on this cd from "God Help Me" all the way to "Lest I Forget". This cd is packed with contemporary as well as some rock songs and each one is unique in their own way. I don't regret buying this cd. Again to me this is Rebecca St. James' best cd!!!!

i liked rsj when i was little but when i started liking more harder rock i kind of quit liking it so much, then when i saw her in concert i didn't expect anything good, but it really was. i bought the album and it isn't my favorite, but it is pretty cool.
