Excellent EP from Andy Mineo| Posted December 12, 2020
This seven-song EP from Andy Mineo, the follow-up to his Works in Progress album, is his gift to his fans to try to lift their spirits a bit after such a difficult 2020. It was inspired by a trip that he took with his friends to Japan before the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. His next release will be the Neverland II, the sequel to his successful 2014 release Neverland - my favorite Mineo project – anticipated in the first half of 2021.
Here are a few comments about each song on the new EP: Shibuya Roll Call – This song was written by Daniel Steele, Wordsplayed and Mineo. It was produced by Steele and features Wordsplayed, who collaborated with Mineo on the 2017 project Andy Mineo & Wordsplayed Present Magic & Bird. Key lyric: If you got a dream, don’t sleep on it Herman Miller – This song was written by Vory, BEAM and Mineo and produced by Mineo and BEAM. The song features a bass beat and slow rap about how he feels that he is never doing enough to reach his dreams, goals and aspirations. This has made him a workaholic, and he finds it difficult to relax or enjoy things.
