Day of Fire lead singer, Joshua Brown, is the former frontman for Full Devil Jacket (Island/Def Jam). Joshua has a powerful testimony of turning away from his rock-star lifestyle after surviving a heroine overdose and surrendering his life to God while in rehabilitation. After a two-year hiatus, Joshua began writing songs again, this time with guitarist/songwriter/fellow believer Gregg Hionis, and the pair began playing out in Joshua's hometown of Jackson, Tenn. The radical transformation of Joshua's life along with the straightforward message found in the lyrics, has given Day of Fire the platform to have a major impact on culture. Musically Day of Fire is the perfect blend of aggressive rock mixed with the message of hope. The band's national debut release is produced and mixed by Scott Humphrey (Rob Zombie). They appeared on various festivals throughout the summer and opened for Third Day on first leg of the fall tour.

I've been waiting over 2 years to get this CD, and i finally got it. it's really awesome. and every song on there I like. the first song I had ever heard by DOF is 'Cornerstone'. but my favorite song on the album is 'Fade Away'. they've got an amazing sound. and great songs.
Great Debut| Posted August 02, 2007
First and foremost you have to love seeing a musician (Josh Brown) from the secular industry finding Christ and coming over to produce Christian music and doing it so well. Songs Cornerstone and Detainer are top notch and it doesn't stop there. When i bought this CD i couldn't take it out of my stereo and still even after their second release i still enjoy listening more than one would think. Outside of a couple songs on the new album I'd have to say this debut is rated higher than "Cut and Move".
A must purchase but just barely falls short of elite status in my book!!
Day of Fire is awesome!| Posted July 26, 2007

Better than Cut and Move| Posted July 24, 2007
I believe that this album is much better than cut and move. this is definitely an album that everyone should have. my favorite song is Through the Fire
A must-have for every rock fan!| Posted July 24, 2007
Day of Fire's self-titled debut is one of the most solid rookie albums ever. With iconic songs such as Detainer and the instant classic Cornerstone, Day of Fire made their mark. Through the Fire, I Am the Door, and To Fly are fun, energetic songs that appeal to the hard rock purist, while Rain Song, Fade Away, Jacob's Dream and the aforementioned Cornerstone are amazing displays of grunge at its best. This album is 100% upside!
