The Skies Revolt's latest release, Some Kind of Cosmonaut is definitely the band's biggest undertaking yet. They wanted to create something different, but also wanted it to have a touch of nostalgia. What normally would be throwing together some tapping guitars, weird sounds and complex instruments, the band tried to create more with less. The result is something raw and pure. Something that can translate to other instruments and not have to be dependent on distorted guitars.
This album has more singing then any of the band's previous efforts and lyrically takes to more positive places.
