Girl Power!| Posted March 24, 2008
These girls know how to ROCK OUT! Their lyrics are passionate and filled with clean messages about purity and Jesus. I use BarlowGirl's music to reach out to girls who are searching for something in life. Their tunes always seem to strike a chord and stick with whoever I suggest it to. GOOD STUFF!
BarlowGirl review| Posted March 07, 2008
BarlowGirl`s second release is another 100% effort. You can hear the girl`s heart in every song. Hits like Grey, Let Go, and I Need You to Love Me contain the same BarlowGirl rock sound that rings with truth.

I like this cd alot. It's kinda different from their new one, a bit more upbeat. It's a good cd, and my personal favorite sogs are "Never Alone," "5 Minutes of fame," "Let Go," and "My God's Enough, (Featuring Todd Agnew)" I just got their newest cd for christmas, and I would have to say that I still like this cd better. I'm not saying anything bad about the new one, I just like the harder stuff better.
Great All-Around Album!!!| Posted December 18, 2007
I loved this album, honestly the passion, the lyrics, the vocals, and the melody really brought out the true Barlow girls amazing talent to bring teen's problems (5 minutes of fame) and classic worship songs into wonderfully written songs.
I've always loved barlowgirl for their theme in their music. And the title fits excactly for the album. Just another day, another day of problems but we still come to you. Still seek you.
The downfall is, maybe its just me, but the cover of the worship is ok. It was good, but i've listened to those songs so many times.
Awesome album with passion-sung songs, a definite buy.
Amazing Barlow!| Posted November 04, 2007
Barlow has outdone themselves ever since their first album came out. This album is full of songs helpful to their supporting fans and to Christians. Each song is built on truth and what Barlow holds onto.
Just Okay| Posted October 13, 2007
Okay, I like BarlowGirl a lot, I always have but this sophomore album didn't cut it for me. BarlowGirl's first album was such a great one, every song was it's best with great messages. But Another Journal Entry seemed to repeat the same message over and over. 'Porcelain Heart' and 'My God's Enough' are my favorite, the vocals on both were very mature and they both had great lyrics. While I didn't particularly enjoy this album, BarlowGirl is still awesome and I have confidence that they will do better in the future.
The need for love and the way God fulfills it| Posted September 05, 2007
This cd speaks most often about our need for love, in particular, God's love and how he fulfills this need when we are sold out to Him. This album opens with the song "Grey" which speaks about being lukewarm in your faith for God and about the determination to change that blah lifestyle. In my personal opinion, the next song "Let Go" is rather annoying. It has never caught my attention because its so noisy and raspy. But the lyrics are talking about letting go of what we hold onto and falling back on God. "I need you to love me"...I love that song. More than anything else in the world we need God's love...His love alone would help us survive. The good news is he doesn't normally ask us to live alone and he supplies some sort of companion for us, but that's a whole 'nother story. "Enough" is a song that i have always enjoyed singing in church and they have put it together very well and its very enjoyable to listen to, esp. when ur in the mood to sing to God. "Porcelain Heart" is a song that any girl with a broken heart can relate to, esp those who have been used and abused. This song does not necessarily have to do with guy/girl relationships, it could also be speaking about a girls relationship with parents or any dissapointment in her life. It really speaks to the fragile heart of a girl...and a guy if you are one of those guys that have a fragile heart as well...and there is nothing wrong with that! "Take me Away" is totally obnoxious and I don't even listen to it. "Psalm 73" is pretty good...I listen to it when I need to know that God is good enough for me...and He'll provide me with all my needs. "5 minutes of Fame" I like that one...it's talking about not selling out for fame that won't last. To stand by your God will bring a much greater reward. "Thoughts of You"...that one is a little to slow for me. Good lyrics but it would put me to sleep and I'm not often in the mood to go to bed. lol. "No one Like You" is a crazy "praise and worship" song that I can really get into. The music is upbeat and the lyrics are nothing but praising God as the one and only God. At the end there is and acoustic version of "Never Alone" it's a nice version but I think it's lacking that passion of the first version.
