This book is clearly a classic. The opening line is one that makes you smile and fills you with anticipation for what is to come. Elizabeth's life is filled with the humorous, serious, and sometimes downright dreadful dealings. I read this book years ago when I was a teenager and I remember sitting with my book and suddenly looking up and bursting out with laughter. Jane Austen does a wonderful job of portraying this romanic (dare I say comedy?) novel and I would recommend it to anyone.
