Michael Encarnacion has released a song today called “Eternal Life.” The inspiration for the song came one October morning while he was driving to work. Imagine this: it’s 8 am, and out of nowhere, a melody pops into his head. Shortly after, the first few lyrics for the verse come to mind. Though he doesn’t recommend trying this while driving (thank God for voice memos!), he managed to capture the first moments of the song. Over the next few months, he let it marinate, and it wasn’t until March 2024 that he added the second verse before finally getting it produced in June.
“Eternal Life” is a powerful reminder of Christ’s sacrifice and the boundless grace that flows from it. The song starts at the cross, reflecting on how Christ shed His blood so that we would be freed from captivity. The pre-chorus emphasizes the victory over death, death has lost its sting . The chorus is nothing short of an anthem, shouting out our praises and encouraging for renewed lives and the light we’ve been given. Nothing can stop His light and freedom from reaching us, no matter where we are or how we are feeling! All we need to do is invite Him into our lives, and accept the forgiveness and grace that reigns since that darkest day when the veil was torn.

Meredith faced many challenges, doubts, and questions yet she chose God's plan not her own. The song was produced a few months later on March 22nd with Drew Middleton in Nashville. They were able to produce the song in just one day with ideas flowing freely. Meredith is thankful to God, Joshua and Drew for guiding her to make this song that way it turned out to be.
