A soulfully accepting His grace | Posted June 22, 2024
"Knee Deep" is an impressive song that blends the gospel and hip-hop genres. This song is about seeking redemption for our own imperfections.
Terrain and Mack, a modern poet, addresses the path of self-destruction and the struggle of facing inner demons, as we try to find comfort in short-term distractions. The chorus of Kwick is filled with hope that shines through the darkness. Valentina Mami's soulful voice tells about her own journey of regret and repentance with honesty and emotion. She sings about placing her burdens at the feet of Jesus.
"Knee Deep" doesn't fit into the common Christian genres, and that makes this song both interesting and appealing. It's message encourages us to understand God's grace and seek His redemption. A message of hope that shows that we can start all over in His grace. "Knee Deep" with its soulful melodies and powerful lyrics, is sure to touch hearts and open minds, and if you accept its invitation, it will leave a permanent mark on all who accept His life-changing grace.
Valentina Mami shared the following backstory:
"This song was presented to me by the artist Terry and Mack. I resonated with it and decided to share a bit of my spiritual journey on this verse a year ago I had never step foot in a church or opened the Bible, but a heartbreak led me to Jesus and ever since that I have asked for grace And for forgiveness for all my past mistakes and even though I have send again the closer I get to Jesus the more I walk in his steps this is about repenting more than once for help and guidance."
