Well done again! | Posted August-31-2009
This book resonates and leaves you thinking for days, like his other fictitious adult novels. I finished it quicker tham I've ever finished any other book. I would give it a five star rating, except for the whirlwind of too much information for about the first 100 pages. In those pages, your head is simply swimming to catch up. But other than that, it is just great. It is about the very voice of God and its documentation into a computer program simply called the Program. Charlie Madison, former special ops agent who feels guilty for his past failures, only wants to redeem himself. But his 13 year old neice, Jazmin, interrupts that. Her parents have been kidnapped and are being held by Muslim terrorists. With Muslims, Jews, and Americans chasing them with all they have and a mysterious FBI agent in their midst, they struggle to find their parents and the Program. With an excellent writing style and superb experience on Bill Myers part, this is a must-read.

Bill Myers - The Seeing | Posted August-30-2009
Bill Myers is known for his spiritually intact books, and this one proves that with a bang. Perhaps his deepest journey into the spirit world as of yet, Myers has crafted a book for mature adults that attempts to fill the fictitious gaps with scientific and spiritual truths. Basically on a vacation of sorts, teen Luke Kauffman acquires a pair of goggles (influenced from Myer's '05 venture, "The Presence") that enable him to see the things of the spirit world. Though exciting as it may seem, the new knowledge proves incredibly dangerous. With leaders and followers from both sides of the spirit world watching his every move, Luke must find the answer to the goggles and the mysterious business in the town. Bill Myers has acheived the status of recognition with this book and others before and after it. "The Seeing" is a solid and in-depth portrait of the things unseen.

Excellent First Novel! | Posted August-29-2009
Mark Mynheir, Florida cop, has released his first novel. "Rolling Thunder" bears all the marks of a seasoned author but with all the fresh ideas of a first-time author. John Russell, a Florida detective, has buried his painful past behind him...or so he thought. When a ten year old turns up missing from state foster care, everyone turns to the Florida department of Law Enforcement (FDLE)for answers. Russell is assigned to the politically potent case. With government bigwigs breathing down his neck, he races to find the boy. But at home Russell's happy life is disrupted by his paroled father, who abused him until he was seven and killed his mother. John's wife scrambles to find answers to help her husband who won't tell her anything. A mounting spiritual battle oppresses the Russell household. John's life is falling apart. The novel has an excellent writing style and should be listed with the best. Mynheir is a new force in the growing world of Christian fiction.

Best Rock Album!!!! | Posted August-29-2009
Kutless really made an album that blends the heavy rock tone of many contemporaries (but much better) with passionate lyrics. Hearts of the Innocent is a keeper!

Hearts of the Innocent: An excellent drive of what we so blatantly expose the youngsters of the world to at such an age where they don't know any different. We're teaching them to fail. Jon Micah Sumrall's lyrics could pierce even the most hardened mind. The passion is overwhelming and awesome. With loud guitar riffs and heavy sounds, this can simply not be thrown away.

Shut Me Out: If track one was purely awesome, imagine something even better! With jamming guitars and passionate, never-give-up lyrics, this one is revolutionary!

Beyond the Surface: A thought-provoking look at the watered down modern day gospel message. Prepare to jam for this track.

Smile: The lighter side of Kutless shines through on this song. With a message about simple Christian joy and love, it demonstrates what the world needs so simply yet so correctly.

Promise of a Lifetime: The only song I didn't particularly care for on the '06 record. Too soft and light. Though the lyrics are still good, they don't penetrate the spirit like the others do.

Winds of Change: A look at what we don't and can't expect out of life, this song tells the world what with a heavier sound.

Somewhere In The Sky: Reminiscent of "Your Touch", this song rockets the guitars in well-laid maturity.

Mistakes: Soft and light, but an excellent theme.

Push Me Away: Hard but not heavy, this provocative song is great.

Changing World: Light again, but the message is always outstanding!

Million Dollar Man: The heaviest on the album, this has a Casting Crowns' "American Dream" theme. Way awesome.

Legacy: They finish with booming guitars and a little screaming, which I hate, but good besides that with a good message.

Kutless has their best album on this one. A definite hit. Go Kutless! It is a prime example that good music still exists.

The Best Album...Ever! | Posted August-27-2009
Not only is this Casting Crowns' best work, but it is the all-time greatest album in my opinion.

"What The World Needs" is an excellent album opener and energetically rockets the compilation into motion.
"Every Man" I was a bit dissapointed with as a single but it's great for the CD. The lyrics are also painfully true.
"Slow Fade" is perhaps the best lyrically. "It's a slow fade/when you give yourself away/it's a slow fade/when black and white have turned to gray/. The music is also irresistable.
"East to West", the first single, can at times put me to sleep, but I love the lyrics and the tune can become catchy as well.
"The Word Is Alive" illustrates a wonderful truth but is near the bottom of my favorite songs on the CD.
"The Altar and the Door" is definitely my favorite on the CD. With catchy guitar licks and an unforgettable chorus, this is not one you can pass up.
"Somewhere in the Middle" is excellently worded but will put you to sleep.
"I Know You're There", the only song not led by Mark Hall, gives a female voice. Not the best. Take it or leave it.
"Prayer for a Friend" is definitely the worst on the CD. It is a follow-up of "Here I Go Again" from their original self-titled release in '03.
"All Because of Jesus", a remake of Fee's instant hit, is well played but the hidden track at the end of the song is one of the worst sounds that my ears have heard in a while, second only to MercyMe.

The CD is awesome overall and I highly reccomend it. I can't wait for their 11/17/09 release, "Until The Whole World Hears".
