Bill Myers is known for his spiritually intact books, and this one proves that with a bang. Perhaps his deepest journey into the spirit world as of yet, Myers has crafted a book for mature adults that attempts to fill the fictitious gaps with scientific and spiritual truths. Basically on a vacation of sorts, teen Luke Kauffman acquires a pair of goggles (influenced from Myer's '05 venture, "The Presence") that enable him to see the things of the spirit world. Though exciting as it may seem, the new knowledge proves incredibly dangerous. With leaders and followers from both sides of the spirit world watching his every move, Luke must find the answer to the goggles and the mysterious business in the town. Bill Myers has acheived the status of recognition with this book and others before and after it. "The Seeing" is a solid and in-depth portrait of the things unseen.
