A Fun Read | Posted November-11-2008
Alton Gansky is one of my favorite authors and writes a lot of different types of books. This one is a fun read it just didnt grab me like some of his others. Book is based on the biblical figure Enoch who didnt die. Enoch is back to deliver a message to the world and it tells us to "Look for the One I AM sending you." Also there is Mary Martha a former palm reader that has started her own church. A great story I just didnt feel that some of the characters stories were developed as much as they could have been. Also I thought the book ended rather quickly. Still a great book though and a must for fans of Gansky. I still like some of his other books a lot better though such as the JD stanton books or the Perry Sachs books.

Great Debut | Posted October-29-2008
I read this a few months back and am just now getting around to reviewing it. I absolutely loved this book and was instantly drawn to the characters. Eric Wilson is one of if not my favorite author. I love the subject that he deals with and the way he goes about writing the story. He deals with subject that a lot of Christian writers dont deal with not to say that his books are written for Christians because they really arent.

Great Supernatural Read | Posted October-29-2008
Kathryn Mackel is a great writer. This is the second book of hers that I have read (Vanished being the 1st). It is a book about a woman Susan who returns to Colorado to help take care of her estranged father after an accident and also after her own son has died. She goes to help care for her fathers horse ranch. She deals with a lot of emotional and spiritual termoil and finds herself being thrown from a horse into a dark ravine. In the ravine she comes across a man in chains whom she releases. The man is not sure oh who he is or how he got there. What follow is a whirlwind read of supernatural events that keeps twisting and turning. I couldnt put the book down and cant wait to read some of her other works.

Great First Book in Series!!!!!!!! | Posted October-29-2008
This is the first Kathryn Mackel book that I have Read. The Writeup on the back of the book sounds awesome and the book start off great. Book kind of reminds me a little of the TV show Lost. A lot of people left with no outside contact and trying to find out what is going on. Would actualy raise this to 4 stars but it wont let me for some reason.

Worth the Price of "Admission" | Posted October-29-2008
Sorry I couldnt help myself with the title of this review. This is the first book of Travis thrashers that I have read and it grabs you from the start and you cant put it down. I read the book in less than a day. It it the story of Jake Rivers who after about 10 years being out of college gets a call to help find a missing girl who was last seen with a friend from college. Jake hasnt really spoke to any of his old college buddys since the graduated. They had a one night camping trip were noone really seems to remember what happened and what they did. The author does a great job of making the characters interesting and easy to relate to. Would seriously recommend checking this book out.

Finding Faith from a Flywheel | Posted October-29-2008
Eric Wilson has done it again by turning one of the Kendrick brothers movies into a novel. I havent seen the movie yet(but plan to as soon as possible) so I can't compare the two. This is such a great story and really causes you to deal with your faith in God and your actions in all situations. The story is about Jay Austin a used car salesman who does everthing he can to sell a car. This causes friction at home with his pregnant wife and son. He also has both personal and business financial problems to deal with. Jay buys a classic convertible car (a Triumph) to restore and at the same time he sees his faith in God start to be restored. The changes that he makes began to make great ripples in his life. A great story for all especially fans of "Facing the Giants." Eric Wilson adds back stories and additional storylines to the story giving it more depth.

Favorite Author | Posted October-29-2008
Eric Wilson has to be one of the best authors around today. This book is the second in a planned 5 part series. It is about Clay Rykker a man going through a divorce who moves back home and is given the ability to foresee the day someone will die. Clay tries to find out if this is a blessing or a curse while trying to save those whose expiration date he knows. It deals with the struggles that he is going through. This book has great character devolopment and you can so relate to what they are dealing with. It also has a great ending that leaves you wanting more of this series. It does bring back a couple of characters from Dark to Mortal Eyes which I would recommend reading first. Eric Wilson just keeps getting better with every book that he writes.

Great Novelization!!!!!!!!! | Posted October-29-2008
I loved The movie and didn't think the story could get any better. Eric Wilson brings the story to Novel format and improves on the story. He adds such great back stories to help you grow even closer to them and realize even more what they are going through in the lives and in their struggles. If you have seen the movie you know the basic plot but their is so much added to it that it makes this novel a must read for anyone. This is so much more than a football story it is a story of life and the power of God.

Bleach Bids Farewell | Posted October-29-2008
This is a great CD it contains a great overview of all of the previous CDs by containing hit songs from all of their albums. Also includes a DVD of their last show. This is for all bleach fans or for anyone looking to try some new music. The Cd has almost all of their hit songs, you could argue for a few more songs that could have been included on this. The DVD is a great look at Bleach performing live and the intensity that they brought to their shows. Again an awesome CD/DVD Combo that is a great buy for everyone who loves great music.
