The Path We Tread CD Review | Posted June 05, 2009
So I just won "The Path We Tread" CD From xLooking Forwardx and IT IS AMAZING!!!! Has all the quality elements of traditional, punk influenced hardcore. Great riffing, awesome vocals, AMAZING LYRICS all about being a better person and standing up for your faith, yourself and others. I mean, one of the first songs says "...We hear you loud and clear, but you cant make us disappear, No way No how, You wont make me shut my mouth. I'll try to love you even if you hate how I live my life. I respect your views and the lifestyle you choose, And im the one whos closed my mind??" The next track says "...You're a beautiful creation no matter who you are. Molded in the image of a living and loving God..."
Very cool lyrics. The artwork is cool too. The book has all like graffitti stenciled artwork such as a climbing snake, shaking hands, a flaming heart, and four aces (Which goes with their song All Aces...) Overall a very cool album from a very cool band. The only negatives are that you can never tell when one song ends and another begins, but I kinda like it that way. A little confusion to remind us we're not in control.
