I made the sky, I spun out this sunrise
I made the heat that warms the earth and makes the wind blow
I breathe life into the dust with every exhalation
I breathe love, I breathe love into my creation
I made the stars that shine so bright in the midnight sky
When the new moon leaves the dark velvet out to dry
I made that gentle orb that shifts the tides and you ask why
Yes you ask why
Well it’s you
It’s you my child
It’s you with your tears and your smile
You’re the point of my creation
The apple of my eye
You’re the wonder I’ve been making all of this time
It’s you
And I love it when you speak with me
Love to hear you laugh
When your tears fall down I weep
With the crook of my staff I set your pathway straight
And take you in my loving arms to hold your fears at bay
Still you ask me, “What’s the point of being here?”
And it breaks my heart when you live with so much fear
When your prayers are answered in my creative way
You praise me for a moment and I wonder if you will stay
