My heart it seems so apathetic. It feels so hard and empty. Nothing gets through to it. My heart why are you so cold, so superficial? How long will you sleep? Have you stopped beating, are you dead? Have you ever been alive, at all? My heart is dead until you breathe your spirit into it. It’s made of stone until you lay your hand on it, and turn it into flesh. I am sure that you are speaking with me. But my eyes cannot see anything and my ears cannot hear your voice. My heart is dead until you breathe your spirit into it.
