Long before the invention of the gun, the sword was the weapon of man, when courage and respect were in demand and peace was the way of the land,
When man had to have nerve to attack another man,
When both men, face to face, body to body, soul to soul, shaking thinking is this their time,
The fear of God in both their minds,
Equal to equal, man to man, fight or flight, for they could surely make a decision for life,
Then came the mighty gun, a saviour for some that changed then thinking and courage, respect for the law,
And understanding became crisscrossed,
For with the might gun at the scene, death and destruction it did bring,
Where man could conquer and kill without coming face to face, body to body, soul to soul,
Where the weak minds and egregious men became dictators and slave masters over the masses of their pastures,
Where long distance death was the evil means of their evil, as bootleggers, psychopaths and men for hire served the cause of the devil's fire 'cause they think they are a superman,
A superman, a superman - but know for sure that they are wrong, my man, as surely as God stands, for he created only woman and man,
The invention of the mighty gun has caused disrespect among some,
With distance, unemotional death happens much more often that enough,
Where weak-minded people become strong, committing acts or sins and great wrongs,
Not realising that it's much too late to right that high estate, God the Father, life itself,
And, with no regret in sight, they die sleeping from within, from that burning night and from the evil of their gutless acts,
Society wonders and ponders about the morality of the facts, not understanding the real cause, or the reality to the effects of the use of the mighty gun, the weapon of death for many and for some.
