So, this is the end, it was November by the fireside
When Jesus picked up that book
Never really realising, the precious steps that he took
As I’m looking back, it is very clear to me
That I was meant to be, a someone of great importance
And not a nobody
How quiet still, how thoughtful, stay
To Him you knew, now cast away
The funny times, we shared with Him
Are all too black now, all too grim
Do we pretend to know what is to be done?
Our eyes water when we're sad
Life isn't always fun, now, it's all been done
The memories of our past, do they remain in the air?
Like fossils found in rock, if they are found, who will care?
The music is so divine, connecting us with our souls
Playing with our deep emotions, onwards to our goals
