Waiting anxiously,
Prison-bound yet free,
Martyr prays for grace,
knows this is the day.
Soldier's footsteps walk the hallway.
Slowing to open the door, there's no time to pray anymore.
Tonight he will embrace
Salvation's perfect grace,
For he's laid down his life
Long before these flames tonight
And he shall see reward,
What he's been longing for.
All of the world will see
This man give his life just so he can be free.
Smoking embers cry,
Lighting up the night.
Martyr smiles and sings.
Time to meet his King.
Passing brings him new salvation.
Slowly he closes his eyes, and death brings his ultimate prize.
